I know I have seen this information somewhere & attempted to search for it before posting but could not find it anywhere.
:(
My question is: If my bread machine makes a 2lb. loaf & specifies that a max of 4 cups of flour be used, is it possible to make DOUGH ONLY to shape & bake in the oven that requires more flour in the recipe? If so how much over the 4 cup amount can I go safely? ( I would really like to make the Rosemary & Walnut loaves as dough in my machine to save time but the recipe calls for 5 1/2 cups of flour I think)

Thanks for any help/info!

Bumping.....I don't have a bread machine, so I can't help you out...I'm sure someone knows the answer...

Thanks Vicanddi...I'm just sure I saw a general guideline or "rule of thumb" posted about this somewhere, but I sure can't find it again now that I need it! Hopefully someone more experienced with bread machines knows or remembers.

I have used as much as 6 cups in my 4 cup machine. Although it was messy during that last rise on the dough setting, it woorked out fine and saved me a lot of time.
