View Full Version : Dawn Dish Brush
Have any of you seen the commercial for this yet? I just did, and was floored. I guess this is a new product out (by the makers of Dawn dish detergent). Think of a battery operated toothbrush, but with a dish scrubber attached to it.
Am I nuts? What happened to elbow grease? Does it take that much energy to scrub a glass or plate clean? This thing doesn't even look that powerful, and the scrubber certainly didn't look like it could do a better job than your own muscles could.
I'm tired, long night with the baby, so maybe it's just me.....

I agree! My hubby and I saw that commercial the other night and both commented on what a horrible product it was. And did you notice the woman in the commercial only washed the inside of the glass -- don't ever drink at her house! I think time/effort saving devices are wonderful, but this one was just stupid!

There's also the toilet scrubber with the built-in cleanser from Lysol.
Lots of stuff to waste our money on just to make us THINK that we are saving some time.

I haven't seen the commercial but if you think about it, men LOVE electronic gadgets, it could make a GREAT stocking stuffer!!! I love a man with dishpan hands!
My husband thought it was weird that she didn't even rinse the food off! I'll pass on this gadget.

We all like gadgets that make everyday work a bit easier. But my reaction to the commercial was the "think tank for development of new products" was really stretching it on this one.

I, too, would have put this in the category of totally unnecessary products; however, my best friend sliced a tendon in her hand several months ago (strangely enough, when she was washing a glass which broke), and now finds that there are many things she can't do. She thought this would help, so it may be useful for people with arthritis or limited use of their hands. My friend's also interested in the Black and Decker jar opener because she says she can't open the jar of mayonnaise to make a sandwich.
