This morning my DD's teacher asked if I could dye some rigitoni for the class. I've never done this before and the info. I'm finding online gives a few different methods. I guessing a few of the parents on the board may have done this before-what way is the best?
TIA,
Crystal

I've put food coloring in water, and let the pasta sit in the mixture for a minute or so. I spread it out on paper towels to dry. My children like to make necklaces and bracelets out of the pasta, as well as making collage art with the different shapes.

I mix food coloring with rubbing alcohol in zip-top baggies. Put dry pasta in and let it sit until desired shade. Dry pasta on paper towels. In my experience, the "yellow" shade of the pasta will affect the final color (if you try to dye it blue, it will come out green, for instance).

Thanks so much!

I have to do 4 boxes of rigitoni in 4 colors-I guess I'll skip blue and make green.
