This year is my first time doing a fried turkey.
I've read a few web pages that discuss different marinades to inject into the turkey; however, there were no reviews.
Anyone have any favorites?

I don't have a specific recipe, but my Dad accidentally came up with our family favorite. He mixes cajun seasoning, brown sugar, and melted butter. He's not allowed to make a turkey anymore without injecting it with his concoction.
mrswaz - That sounds great. What are his proportions?
We are also doing our first fried turkey this year!

:( He doesn't actually have proportions. But, I asked him if he had a guess...his best guess was 2:1 (brown sugar:cajun seasoning) and then enough melted butter to be able to easily inject it.
So my guess would be something like this: (adjusted for the size of turkey of course)
2 TBS brown sugar
1 TBS cajun seasoning
4 TBS melted butter
This year I plan on watching his process and writing it down.

You can really use any marinade or salad dressing to inject the turkey. Just make sure that you puree it in the blender so that any garlic or onions or chunky things are small enough to fit through the syringe. Just decide what flavor combos you want and go after those recipes.
