For those of you out there who are familiar with Chicago, I would love your ideas on a restaurant from which to get my SIL and BIL a gift certificate. They live in Wrigleyvlle and are adventurous eaters. SIL is pregnant and so can't eat sushi, but likes anything else.

DH and I would like to get them a $100 gift certificate as a Hanukkah gift to a nice restaurant where that will pay for a good portion of the dinner. We got them a gift certificate to Arun's last year. Any ideas are welcome.

Thanks in advance,

Melissa

I like to give Lettuce Entertain You gift certificates. There are many restuarants under that "umbrella" from which they can choose of all different cuisines, and the certificate is good at all of them. Here is a link to their website.

I second Grace's suggestion. That gives them flexibility to a bunch of great places!

Roy's on State Street is pretty good. Although it's a chain, it doesn't really seem like one. Here's a link to their Web site---you can take a look at the menu and also buy gift certificates there. Roys (http://www.roysrestaurant.com/)

The Lettuce idea is good, too. Lots of restaurants to choose from.

And if you want a really upscale place, you could get them a gift certificate to one of the three T's:

Tru (part of the Lettuce Entertain You Enterprise)
Trio
Charlie Trotter's
