View Full Version : Best infomercial kitchen gadget you bought!!
I was thinking of getting the Turbo-cooker or the rotisserie cooker and was wondering what people thought their best purchase was?
Mine by far is definitely my George Foreman Grill!!! YUMMY and healthy too!

I don't think I have anything from an infomercial, except for the George Foreman grill I got as a gift. It looked like a big toilet seat sitting on my counter and I didn't like cleaning it. It's going into a garage sale if I ever get around to having one. I never could figure out how to cook meats without all the marinade or seasoning draining off.

Absolutely my foodsaver. I also got a food chopper that works well too.

The V-slicer I bought years and years ago finally bit the dust, so I was really glad o find one in a cookwares shop as a replacement. I really do use mine, but admit that I use it less since I've been living with dad and using his good knives and his food processor to chop things.

Another vote for Foodsaver, although we didn't see the infomercial until AFTER we bought it.

I bought the Turbo cooker. After reading what is involved for cooking, it's been sitting in the basement -- unused. I was hoping for something that I could put food in and sorta forget. It seems like the whole process was too involved. Maybe its me ... but I never used it.

Never bought one, but I'd say the Foodsaver has been the most tempting. And that's based on all the talk about them here on the BB.

My husband bought one (I work nights, so he does most of the cooking and thought it would be easy).
He hasn't used for a couple of months, since the three difference dishes he tried in it burned.

Rotisserie Oven by Ron Popiel is my hands down best kitchen gadget purchased by TV and the only one I have purchased. I use this often.

Oh, without a doubt, the V-Slicer! I borrowed a friend's so many times that I finally had to have my own. Got it on eBay.
I also have the foodsaver, but not from tv. Love that, too. And the George Foreman grill (the medium-sized one) - it's fantastic for grilled salmon that we marinate in soy sauce and maple syrup.
Hmmmm...I have the Popeil pasta machine, but it's in the cabinet and only comes out occasionally. Too hard to clean. Have a food chopper, too (But Pampered Chef version), which works great, but we actually like using our knives. I think I only really use it when I have a ton of garlic to do or a lot of nuts.
