Woo and hoo!

Thanks a bunch for the wishes, everyone. And Les, thanks for indulging me with a thread of my very own.

Today I turn 30. Am I feeling weird about it? No way! Do you want to know why? :: pauses, waits for grumbling to die down :: Well, since it's my party (and I can cry if I want to) I'm gonna tell you.

Saturday I ran my 21 miler in preparation for my marathon in 3 weeks. It was a great run, we kept on pace, and even BETTER was the fact that I did not feel sore at all later that day. And then I went out and put in 8 more yesterday, and still felt great! So while I may be getting older, I'm feeling great!

I'm hoping that's just the start of an excellent year.
