Baily, here is our review you were aksing for from our Sat supper club for the beef tenderloin w.horseradish and roasted garlic crust and the gorgonzola scalloped potatoes.
We thought they went very well together, I was nervous about the beef because it was smothered in the horseradish, but it did not overpower it.
The potatoes were not overpowering either. I think the cooking mellowed the gorgonzola. I would definitely pair the 2 together again.
The beef did not look like the picture. Mine did not get a "crust" could be because I used creamy horseradish. And it could by why it wasnt overpowering.
NOTE: The recipe called for a 3# tenderloin feeding 12. I had a 3.75# for 7 and we ate it all!
