Chocolate bread and/or herb-crumb coated chicken?

We had the herb-crumb coated chicken. Both of us liked it. The chicken stayed so moist and the coating had a lot of flavor. I started this late in the day, so the chicken only had 45 minutes in the marinade. I didn't notice a lack of flavor or anything because of this.

We had the herb-crusted chicken, too. The only thing I changed is that I sprayed the chicken with cooking spray after applying the coating. It think this helped it get a little crisper. Somebody in my house thought it tasted just like the Colonel's!

I made the herb crusted chicken last night and my husband and I loved it! It was really easy to make and I only marinated the chicken for about an hour. The prep time was nothing and there was plenty to go around! This recipe goes in the "keep" section of my recipe box.

My mom (a brand-new cooking lighter) made the chicken. She and my stepfather liked it but said it could have used a little cayenne or some other spice.

I guess I'm the only dissenter on this so far. It went together fast but we like some of the other "crispy chicken" recipes far better.

I made the chocolate bread this weekend. I was expecting it to have more chocolate chunks in it, but it was good overall. Not so overwhelmingly chocolate that you couldn't have it for breakfast with some p-nut butter, and it does make excellent PBJ sandwhiches.

The chocolate bread recipie is in the Jan/Feb 2001 issue of CL. I don't have my mag at work, so I don't know what page it is on. I hope this helps.
