How many real eggs equal one 8-oz carton of egg substitute?
I'm making an egg casserole for brunch tomorrow and I just realized the recipe calls for egg substitue of which I have none.. and I'm not going to the grocery store today!
Thanks!!

I know that 1/4 cup of the egg beaters is equal to 1 egg. I'm just not sure of what that is in OZs.Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Well, 1/4 c is the same as 2 oz. So if 1/4 c equals one egg, then you'd need 4 eggs to make one whole cup, or 8 oz, of egg substitute. Right?

8-oz volume is 1 cup, so I guess that means 4 eggs= 1 8-0z carton of egg beaters. Is that right? I'll use 4 eggs, that's not bad for a breakfast casserole that serves 8. I was afraid it was going to be something like 7 or 8.
Someone correct me if I'm not figuring this out right!

Thank you Heather, I guess we were posting/calculating at the same time!

On all the egg subs I use, it says 1 egg = 1/4 cup of subs.

I do this conversion all the time and never had a problem. Good luck!
