Would someone mind sharing the Barefoot Contessa's recipe for Sweet Potato Gratin? I believe the recipe is in her Parties cookbook. I'm still waiting for my books to arrive, but would like to try some of her recipes.
I did do a search over on foodtv.com but it wasn't there.
TIA!

There is a recipe on the foodtv website for Smashed Sweet Potatoes from her "Parties" cookbook. Are you sure of the title? That recipe is here:

Lynda,
I'm not sure. I saw the recipe mentioned on the another thread by WallyCat - http://community.cookinglight.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=41140&highlight=contessa - and here, Wallycats lists it as Sweet Potato Gratin.
I actually saw that episode (I'm loving her) and the smashed potatoes looked great, as did the spinach one. It was after watching that episode I started using my KA to mash the potatoes. So smooth!

I believe it is the same recipe...
I'll try to find my book and compare the two...
Editing to add the smashed sweet potatoes in the Parties book uses apples.
I believe i pulled the gratin off the foodtv site around the holidays last year.
If you want the one with apples, I'll be happy to post, but the smashed recipe link looks like the one that was the gratin...confusing, no?
