These are very easy and quick to put together. They are very good-not too sweet. I don't own a cast-iron skillet so I used an 8-inch square pan and they are just fine. Very subtle maple flavoring-you know there is something there though.

Will check them out since I rec'd my copy today and I have a brand new bag of Texas pecans!
BTW, No cast iron?!?!?

Terry, were yours really hard after cooling? I thought they were good right out of the oven, then they got hard as a rock, well, maybe not that hard:D The only thing I did differently was to add a couple T. of flaxseed, but I also added a little bit more butter. I cooked them in my iron skillet. I thought maybe the 30 min. cooking time was too long. Next time I would try 20.

yes mine got hard after a day or so, but they still tasted good.
