Hi!
I did a search of past threads before I posted this -- nothing! Does anyone out there have the CL "Lazy Gourmet" cookbook? Do you like it/love it/recommend it/etc?! I saw it advertised in a past issue and thought I'd bring the subject to the BB before I buy!
Thanks!
Lynn

hey Lynn--
I have this cookbook and have made a few things from it. They were good, but I don't seem to go back to it. Another one on the same theme that I use more often is the CL 5 Ingredient, 15 Minute one. It's great and everything I've made is really good as well.

Thanks for the input! I was thinking of getting that 5-ingredient 15-minute cookbook!
Anyone else out there w/ "The Lazy Gourmet" cookbook? What do YOU think of it? (I know we are a DIVERSE bunch!)

Hi Lynn--
I received the Lazy Gourmet cookbook as a Xmas present. I too am not too impressed with it. I am glad that I received it as a gift and didn't buy it myself. I agree with Laden the 5 ingredient,15 minute cookbook is a keeper. I also have that book.

I've had this for several years, made 2 recipes out of it. One was a Ham/Hash Brown/velvetta Casserole that I thought was pretty good, thumbs downed by hubs. The other was a Spinach-chicken noodle soup that I recall being quite bland. As laden says, I just don't go back to it, it's way back on the shelf.

I have the Lazy Gourmet and the Light and Easy. I love the Lazy Gourmet. I have made lots of the receipes. The Spinach-Chicken Noodle Soup, Spicy Tomato-Corn Chowder, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and many others.
Good luck.

I actually got the Lazy Gourmet cookbook free from Oxford Press or Cooking Light - don't remember which. I had pre-ordered an annual recipe 5-year index for CL which they decided not to make. They sent me this cookbook for free instead. I'm sorry I can't answer your question for you though - I haven't made much from it. But I did think it was awfully nice of them to send me a free copy. Companies with good customer service are so great!
