I am way more excited for the Survivor All Stars starting right after the Super Bowl than American Idol.

Does anyone have any information about who will be on and where it is located? They didn't give any information in the trailer/teaser on TV over the weekend.

They're going to be in Panama.

It should be pretty interesting, especially after seeing who will be competing. As long as they don't have that obnoxious Jon from the last one, I'll probably watch. :)

I'm also really thrilled for it. It will be really interesting to see how they do the 3 team thing. Personally I am for the "Saboga" team (yellow)- ETHAN :D , Jenna Lewis, Jerri, Rudy, Rupert, and Tina.

Mmmmm.... Colby AND Ethan? *sigh* You might be able to convince me to watch, just to see those two.

Um, forget what I said on the American Idol thread about having given up other reality shows. I think I will probably watch this- I had no idea it was in the works!

MK....my DD says the same. I am eeeexcited! But what time is after the superbowl? That's pretty late isn't it?

Hmmm...First thoughts:

Is it fair to allow some of the previous winners to compete again?

Great! We have to put up with weeks of Jenna M. again. Ugh. (Well, at least it's not that holy roller Theresa and her buddy Sean).

Some of these people I don't remember at all...Amber? Jenna L? Rob M?

We'll definitely be watchin'. :)

Sue you can always tape it!! :D The Super Bowl (the game anyway never mind the hours of pregame shows) starts around 6:30 pm and will be over around 9:30 - 9:45 ish. My guess is that Survivor will start around 10 pm.

And I don't remember Amber or Jenna L either. But Rob M was this yahoo from the Boston area.

Stephanie,
Who says implying anything. :D
(ok, so once a reality TV junkie, always a reality TV junkie) :D

Jenna L was on the first survivors. I remember she has two small girls, and I think she was the last of her tribe voted out. She started in a different tribe than the final 3.

Wasn't Rob M the slimy one who backstabbed everyone in the Amazon when Jenna M won?

I don't really remember Amber though.:D

BTW, I have a T-shirt autographed by Big Tom.

Well that's why I don't remember Jenna L - the first one was the only Survivor I didn't see. As for the Robs, I think the one you're thinking of Leigh is the other Rob.

I'm looking forward to the new game, too. It's my guilty pleasure.

If anyone is interested I have an online game going at http://www.fantasysurvivor.net It's called Northeast Ohio over 50 Survivor Fans, but CL board posters are welcome, too. The password is 4377 to get in. I played this last season and enjoyed it, so if you want to double your fun, come on over.

Amber was the little brown haired girl from Survivor: The Outback. She was Jerri's only friend.

I forgot to post this after the end of the most recent survivor when Sandra won.

DH is always in a Survivor pool at work. 16 people each put in $10 at the beginning of the show and they draw names out of a hat to see who has which Survivor contestant. Then the person who has the Survivor that's voted out each week is out of the pool. Rather than sticking to the same person for the entire game, each week the remaining people in the pool re-draw Survivor contestants. So when DH was in the pool, each week he had someone different.

The top 3 "survivors" in the pool win money - 1st place gets $100, 2nd gets $40 and 3rd gets $20.

DH was 4th when Jenna won but this past time he had Sandra last so when she won, he won the $100! :D

This game has more contestants so more people from his restaurant can participate in the pool. They also might up the contribution to $20 each since it's the All Stars.

Loren, lucky DH! I think the only people in our office who follow Survivor are me and our receptionist. I guess she spoke to someone from another company that has a pool similar to your DH's. She wanted to start one for us, but unlike the Superbowl pool, no one else seems to care!

I only missed the first Survivor. I remember everyone else.

Kristin, that's too bad you can't raise a pool. It was really fun, even for DD and I because every Thursday night when DH came home, the first question was not Hi How was your day but Who do you have this week?? :D That was the extent of our fun, though, he kept his winnings to replace a blown car speaker.

You could even pull people in from other places like your friends and your receptionist's friends. Everyone doesn't have to be from work. DH's pool wasn't all from the restaurant. The organizer was a friend of one of the waitresses, so some of her friends were in it. Obviously everything was done above board so it didn't really matter.

Thanks for posting that link. Is it just me or do the second two teams (yellow and green) seem more well rounded and possibly stronger than the first one (red)?

I also thought that. But lets not under-estimate Alicia. She can kick some major butt too.
