Hi! I'm just wondering if anyone here has made this cake.
My DD's 4th birthday party is Saturday, and I'm getting ready to bake the cake for her. She is having a Princess party, so I'm making a castle cake. Last year I made Nigella Lawson's Buttermilk cake for her Barbie cake, and while it was good, it was more of a sponge cake. I'm looking for a more tender cake, but one that will hold up as I try to get it out of the pan. I also need to quarter a 9-inch (square) cake for the tower, so it will need to stand up to being cut without breaking apart.
So, has anyone tried this one, or have another cake suggestion for me?
