I am making the Hearty lasagna from the complete cookbook. But I was wondering if it would be ok if I assembled it tonight and then put it in the fridge til tomorrow and then bake it tomorrow night.

Have any of you done that? How did it work? Do you forsee any problems?

I imagine it would be fine. I've never done it, but I have frozen the hearty lasagna, thawed in the fridge overnight and then baked the next day. It always turns out great!

I love this recipe, by the way. I may have to make some this weekend...

:D Thanks Heather. Since this is the first time making it and I have company over I just don't want a disaster. Small mishaps ok but no disaster.

I quite often make my lasagna, cover with foil, put in the fridge and bake the next night. No problems at all.

That's how I make the hearty lasagna every time. It's a great make-ahead item. Tomato-based recipes always taste better the next day anyway.
