I'm currently back at home with my parents while my fiance and I search for a place to live. We help out with the cooking but my parents are both on the South Beach Diet. They're in phase II now but prefer not to eat carbs with dinner. I'm looking for any tasty no carb dinner ideas people have!

TIA!!

Any beef, chicken, fish, or tofu recipe without a side dish of potatoes or rice will work.

There's also some great chicken and beef crockpot recipes posted here that would work well.

Have you tried the search button yet??

I love the asian bbq chicken thighs...and with south beach, whole grains are fine, so you could add a side of sweet potatoes, broccoli, green beans, etc.

Good luck finding a new place to live :)

The Low Carb Cookbook by Fran McCollough has really creative recipies that are not the usual Atkins-style recipies. She also has several other low carb books. Here's the
Amazon link (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0786862734/qid=1074951892/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_1/104-0862670-4400715)

This online cookbook (http://www.3fatchicks.com/cookbook/lowcarb/) from the 3FatChicks weight loss site has a nice collection of recipies that includes carb and calorie information. It also includes tips for converting recipies to low carb.

One healthy, low carb substitution for pasta is to julllienne zucchini as thin as possible and steam it or sautee it. Combined with sauteed onions, peppers and turkey sausage with a bit of diced tomatoes and seasonings. Yum!
