I'm making the recipe on the cover of the February issue of Food and Wine and I couldn't find pappardelle at the store. Is it like a wide egg noodle or fettucine?

Thanks!

Wide egg noodle would be a good sub, IMHO.

Hi Lauren -
I feel your pain. I went throught the EXACT same problems when I tried to make a CL papardelle pasta dish:
amusing thread about papardelle pasta here (http://community.cookinglight.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32256&highlight=pappardelle)

Your best bet is to try a gourmet foodie place like Williams & Sonoma or a large deli/fancy foods store. I have since seen papardelle at my regular grocery store (I think Safeway) but not all of them carry it.

Good luck!

Thanks Sneezles and Kuvy! I bought wide egg noodles, although not as wide as the papardelle, and am going with those!

Thanks for your help!
