HI~

We are one couple looking to join/start a supper club on the Eastside. We are looking to meet like minded food and wine lovers to swap yummy recipes and good conversation. We would be willing to drive to Seattle if there is an established club seeking more members.

Michelle,

I had started one of the threads in the late fall for an Eastside supper club and would love to be a part of it. We belong to a supper club in the north end (Shoreline), but would love to meet people for wine and good cooking who are a bit closer to home. We could do either weeknights about 7pm or weekends which may lend themselves better to cooking as a group. I will try to stay more in tune with the results of this thread so we can get it going.

Elissa~

I remember your threads actually! I will monitor this thread pretty closely, and try to get a meeting date set up in the next few weeks. Glad to hear that you're still interested!

Hi Michelle,

I'd love to join! This sounds like a lot of fun. I live in northeast Seattle but would be willing to drive to the Eastside. Would having a member in Seattle be a problem? I'll monitor this thread, too.

Thanks, Colleen

Colleen~

That's fantastic! Nope, NE Seattle is not a problem for me.. I will monitor the site for the next week or two, then set up a date for us to get together and figure out the details!

Hi ladies~

Looks like there is another couple interested.. Shall we get together for a meet and greet and get this going?!

Please let me know what dates and times work best to meet; I will be out of town 2/21-2/24, so maybe the the weekend of the 27th sometime?

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Michelle,

For us that weekend won't work. Chris jut started an assignment where he will be out of town during the week for the next six weeks, so it would have to be a weekend for us. The weekend of the 6th/7th of March would work for us if that would work for everyone else.

March 6/7 works great for me.. Let's see what the others think, and go from there!

Hello ladies,

My husband said he'd like to do this, too, so it looks like it's all couples. Unfortunately the only weekend in the near future that does not work for us is March 6-7, as we'll be out of town. Any other weekend coming up should be fine. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!

So as we are looking ahead to March and weekends, since the 6th/7th does not work for Colleen, I just thought I would put out there what does work for us in March.

March 6,7
March 20, evening
March 21

Other then that we will have to go into April as we are headed to Florida for vacation at the end of March.

Thanks Elissa

Saturday March 20th sounds good to us. How about meeting at Red Hook in Woodinville? How does 5:00 work for everyone?

Michelle and everyone else,

So, for now I have the 20th planned at Redhook (love the Redhook in Woodinville). That could change based on Chris being in Portland for his assignment and it may end up being the weekend I go there. In any case, we really want to be a part of this so I have it scheduled. I will know more concretly if that works on Monday once his assignment begins.

Looking forward to meeting everyone and cooking together.

That time and place sound great. We'll plan on meeting you all then -- looking forward to it!

Awesome, I've got the date saved!

Elissa, if something comes up, I am happy to meet one weeknight as well. The only week that we will be out of town is March 16-19. Just let me know.

I look forward to meeting you all!

Is it too late for my husband and i to join the group? I was on the "Eastside Dinner Club" discussion last fall and would love to join in the fun! We live in Redmond, having moved from the NJ/NYC area in August. Let me know if there is still some room in the group...it would be great to meet everyone!

Thanks,
Dana

Hi Dana~

Absolutely! We are having our first meet and greet on Saturday March 20th at 5 pm at the Red Hook in Woodinville. Would you and your husband be able to attend? We'll be discussing the next steps to get the group going at that time.

That's great that you are still looking for additional couples! Unfortunately, March 20th won't work for us. Ken will be out of town and I have plans that night already. But I see that everyone else can make it that night, so please don't reschedule for us! Can I get an update after the meeting, and we'll jump in on the next one?

By all means! As of right now, the date stands for the 20th (so we can finally get this going!), unless Elissa will be out of town. If that happens, we will try to meet during the week. After we meet, would you just like to get the details, and come to the first dinner? If you're comfortable with that, I think that's great!

Do you have any input, suggestions, or ideas about how the group would work, or are you pretty open? Specifically, I am thinking in terms of frequency of meeting, rotating houses, everyone cooking a portion of the meal, etc.

thanks!

If things change, and you meet during the week of the 15th, let me know...I'd probably be able to attend, but Ken will be away most of that week.

Otherwise, we'd be cool with just getting the details and coming to the first dinner! I've never done this type of a supper club (we have a more informal one in nyc), and so we are pretty open on the specifics. I think probably with everyone's schedules, it would be hard to meet more than every 4 - 6 weeks or so, and rotating houses is alot of fun! I also think it's alot of fun to have everyone cooking/prepping together, but if that becomes a logistical problem because of kitchen size, etc., then we can figure something out.

This is going to be fun! Looking forward to it!

That's great Dana!

I was also thinking along the lines of bi-monthly, so I think we're all heading in the same direction. I will be out of town March 16-19, so the 20th was the earliest for me. If we change it to the next week, I will definitely let you know.

Otherwise, I will report back on the decisions. If there are any absolute weekends in the upcoming months that do not work for you, please let me know so we can find one weekend for the inaugural dinner!

I am looking forward to meeting you and your husband!

Thanks, Michelle!

We seem to have a rash of weddings in the next couple of months, so here are the weekends in March, April and May that we won't be available:

March 27 - 28, April 3 - 4, April 24 - 25, May 15 - 16

Crazy, I know! Hope we can get the inagural dinner in sometime between those weekends!

I am not going to be out of town on the 20th. So we are on for the 20th at Redhook in Woodinville right? What time are we going to meet?

Yep, we're still on for the 20th. Is 5:00 ok at Redhook? We have a 3rd couple interested, but unable to make the 20th (see previous posts), so it looks like we have a nice rounded 8!

Hmmm... how should we identify each other at Redhook?!
