Want to start Supper Club in San Diego.

Two of us want to start a Supper Club in San Diego, meeting every six weeks. I live in La Jolla and my friend lives in Carlsbad. We love the recipes found in 'Cooking Light' and thought of making new friends by way of a Supper Club would be great fun.

Normally when people are writing from heavily populated areas such as San Diego and environs, I suggest that they go back and search for old posts on the subject because chances are excellent that there are already established supper clubs. However, the search function is on the fritz, so I've taken the liberty of looking up old messages for you.

The following threads go back the last six months. It appears that several of the posters have already banded together, so chances are good that if you try contacting some of these people, you'll either find they've started a group or perhaps they'd be willing to do so.

On the other hand, starting a new club can be fun too! :)

I'd love to join a new group. I'm right between the two of you, in Sorrento Valley, so driving should be pretty convenient. I'd consider joining an existing group depending on where the members were located, but if we can get our own group going that would be great too. I may have another friend or two that would be interested if we need more members.

I've been a CL subscriber for years, love their recipes! And I'm always looking to meet people who enjoy great food. Please keep me posted on any group developments!
