Unable to access search mechanism

Any search I've attempted this morning yields the following message:

There seems to have been a slight problem with the database. Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.

Ditto. I got this afternoon when trying to search for new threads from the Cooking Light Community main page. :cool:

Same as Shirley and Gail -- I can't seem to get anything except that same message page whenever I click on the "view new posts" link. I can access posts by going to each section, but not just the new posts.

This has happened to me several times in the past few days, but seems to be particularly bad today.

Also, I usually access this site through IE, but also tried with Netscape and encountered the same problem, so it doesn't appear to be a browser issue.

Actually, I'm finding the site generally slow today.

In addition to the search problem the error messages for posting seem to be increasing. It's not so much the Error in line 200 but more Fatal Errors. Soemtimes they post and sometimes they don't (mostly don't when the reply is long winded ;) ).

As just now I received this page and error message even though my reply showed up:

I get "problem with the database..." when I click on "view new posts", but, like syzygy, can access them through individual areas.
