Now I can't even post to the "Aarrrggghhh posting problems" thread. So, I'm testing to see if I can post anything.

Kari, I saw your burger recipe on the Feb Cookbook challenge thread and this is what I was trying to post:

"Kari, those burgers sound GREAT!! I'm going to try to make them this week. Wooooweeeee, 1/4 cup of chipotles would probably do me in, though. I'll definitely cut back on them.:D Thanks for sharing!!"

On the Feb Bread thread I wanted to post:

I'm going to be trying some more of the breads out of his book but I don't think I'll be able to keep up with your 10 in one month.:)
According to the notes in my book, I made the Wheatgerm Bread for the first time in April of 1980. My memory isn't good enough to be able to remember what it was like :D but I'm sure it was good.

Also, I wanted to let you and Vicanddi know that I used the exact amount of flour that was given in the recipe for the Buttermilk Bread. It was a nice, soft dough. I just dumped all the flour in and let the kneading begin. I don't think I've ever done that before.:) Usually I add flour according to feel."

And, I made the Broccoli Chowder yesterday. YUM!! Even my dd who STILL says she hates broccoli loved it!! This recipe is going to become a regular around here.

And, I made the Oreo Chunk cookies, too. Another YUM!! I only had one sleeve of cookies left from a Costco box I had bought around Thanksgiving. Since there are only 14 cookies in a sleeve I just made half the cookie recipe and also added in some chocolate chips. These were very good! Dd proclaimed them her new favorite cookie.:D

I'm having sporadic problems. It took me 5 tries before my post showed up on the challenge thread.

I keep getting old email updates to threads. I just got one that said RebeccaT posted to the Don't Get Me Mad Or I'll Tell Your Friends You..... - in the Other stuff forum of Cooking Light Community.

but it doesn't look like she posted anything new lately.

weird!

OK, Leigh, I'm dying of curiosity...what is your avatar and what does it say underneath? Is it some sort of drink?

Not Leigh, but I believe it means "one thousand welcomes" in gaelic, and I imagine the drink is guinness.:D

Not Leigh but I do recognize a good Irish saying when I see one:

Céad míle fáilte (pronounced "cade meelah foyle-ta"), meaning "a hundred thousand welcomes" in Gaelic. And if I'm not mistaken the avatar looks to be a pint of Guiness.

I think I'm a little lost... is this (http://community.cookinglight.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=47426&highlight=broccoli+chowder) the broccoli chowder recipe you made?

Kayla :)
