OK, it's not food related (although, some of the products have food related names, does that count? http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif ).
My sister told me about this website. Check it out at www.mariobadescu.com (http://www.mariobadescu.com)
If you go to 'Consultations' and fill out the questionnaire in about 2-3 weeks you'll receive small (very small but very cute!) samples of their products geared to your skin type. This is what I received today:
* Enzyme Cleansing Gel
* Cucumber (food related!) Cleansing Lotion
* Hyaluronic (not sure if that is food related or not http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif ) Eye Cream
* Cellufirm Moisturizer
* Strawberry (also food related!!) Tonic Mask
* Almond&Honey (I won't say it again http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif ) Non-Abrasive Face Scrub
* A personal Product Application Guide (someone actually took the time to hand write product names in this pamphlet!)
* Product Price List and Order Form
* Skin Care Guide booklet
* Letter with their recommendations of products YOU should use.
Now as I said, these are small samples but from using 4 out of the 6 tonight I can tell the products go a long way. I should mention, in the questionnaire there is a box that you can type in any other information that they may need to know...like if you have any allergies. I'd hate to tell you about this and then find out that someone had a negative reaction to the products.
This is dangerous though. My face feels so clean and smooth that I want to buy all the products that were sent! The downside is that they are expensive. If I were to purchase the smallest quantities of each of the samples, which would be 1/2 oz of the eye cream ($18.00) up to 8 oz of cleansing lotion ($15.00), I would pay $95.00 (not including shipping). I suppose this doesn't sound like much but I am going to hold off until I use it more (in other words, I most likely won't be indulging). I would guess that there are at least 3-4 'treatments' with each sample if not more.
Just wanted to pass this on to anyone that would be interested. If anyone has tried the Mario Badescu Skin Care line (BTW, they have been in business since 1967), please feel free to offer any feedback.
Diane
