How'd everyone do last week? I did awful. :( I started out the week fine, with two great workouts and lifting. After Wed, it was a bust. The baby was a bit fussy after shots, so no nap. Then Friday night I woke up w/some bug and spent all of Sat and part of yesterday lying around w/a fever. By dinnertime last night I felt much better.

I'm vowing to get in 3 good workouts this week and just forget about last week, as there's nothing I can do about it now. My one saving grace is that DH bought Fritos last week (my weakness) and I swore I could hear them calling me from the pantry. :) Well, I just went in to get one and discovered he finished the bag. Good thing, cause I can never stop at just one Frito and then I would have ended up feeling even more blah.

Hey there Sue and everyone else!! I didn't do so great either - worked out on Tuesday and then not till Saturday!! I was very hormonal and bloated and yucky during the week:rolleyes: And then Sunday I woke up to a wicked sore throat and ended up laying around all day watching tv trying to swallow!!! Today it's a little better but still sore.

My goal for this week is 3 good workouts - 4 if I'm feeling better!! Drink lots more water - thank goodness v-day is over so all the cookies/cupcakes from last week are out of the house:p

Our closing for our new house is probably next week (still trying to nail down the date!!) so I'm going to be busy packing! Do you think that will count as a workout?!!:D

Charisse - we must have been living parallel lives last week, but my throat was my problem, too! Plus I also felt the same way - bloated and just generally blah.

And I'll say YES--packing definitely does count as a workout! When we moved last summer I was up and down our stairs so many times that I definitely felt it some days.

I did good last week, although the scale was up 1/2 a pound this morning. My clothes still feel a little better!

I was battling sinus problems all last week, but I think I've got them back under control now. I was afraid I was coming down with a sinus infection.

I haven't worked out yet this week. I'm home with the girls today and they aren't being very cooperative. I don't think I'm going to be able to workout until this evening when DH gets home.

I got in four days of exercize, I had kind of a full week, and was able to go to the gym Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and then not again until Saturday. I don't think I 'll have a tough time with working out this week because I am on February vacation and have the time, but eating might be an issue, again because I have the time :o Tomorrow night I am going to Cheesecake Factory with my friends and I need to remind myself that taking home some food is OK!

Hi everyone. :)

Sue - Great job starting the thread even though your week was not as you had hoped! :) And be easy on yourself - you WERE sick after all. Good luck this week!

Charisse - Good luck with the move. Hope you stay healthy.

Leigh - Glad your clothes feel better - I keep waiting for that to happen to me! :)

katygirl - Great job getting in 4 workouts last week!

I did very well with exercise - got my 5 workouts in. Eating - not so much. I overate too many days, so I'm really trying to focus on that this week. I have two very bad days coming up - a night out with the girls where there is guaranteed to be lots of tempting yummy food and we are hosting a Mardi Gras party on Saturday. I will try my best on Weds to be good, but I'm not holding back on Saturday.

This week may be a 4-workout week due to a busy schedule. I'm going to be happy with 4 and not stress myself out to get the 5th if things get busy getting ready for the party.

Well, better get the kiddos to bed - I can't believe they are still up!!!

My week last week was okay. I would say it was good, except for V-Day! ;) I got in 3 gym workouts, and stayed off sugar every day except Valentine's Day, when I planned to have sugar (chocolate fondue, mmmmm.... and it's been a struggle since, as there were leftovers!).

This week's challenge is that I'll be out of town Fri-Sun for a family function. I don't know if workouts are possible, but am looking into whether the hotel we ended up at has options. (That's new for me, to even think about that, which is cool!)

Sue - Don't beat yourself up for how you did when you were sick -- you have to take care of yourself, and it sounds like you did really well.

Charisse - Packing most definitely counts as a workout! Good luck with the move!!

Leigh - Yay on the looser clothes! That's a great sign (more so than the .5 on the scale).

Katy - yay on the 4 workouts! Just remember that taking food home means that you'll get 2 meals for your money (and can add a workout in the time you would have cooked the second meal!) :)

Alysha - 5 workouts, wow!! :) Have fun with the party! :)

Sue - Concentrate on the two great workout and not the rest of the week. Remember every workout counts!

Charisse - Yup, Packing is very physical so it counts!

Leigh - How great does it feel when clothes start to feel better? I love that! Makes it all worth it!

Lynne- Uhmmmm, did no one tell you that calories don't count on V-Day? :) Congrats on a great week, and thanks for the reminder about the take-out. Very good point!

Alysha -
5 Workouts, wahoooooo, to you! Have fun at your party!

Hope I didn't forget anyone!

Well....
I really didn't want to work out at all tonight so.....I did my long 45 minute Yoga DVD! :D I'm proud of myself. I don't care what the scale says as long as I'm working out I feel better. I was even able to keep a straight face while watching my yoga partner (DD2, age 3) :D :D

Charisse,
Power Packing sounds like a great workout to me! Good luck with the closing.

Sue,
I hope you are feeling better soon. Don't feel bad about the workouts. Overdoing it when you are sick only makes it worse. :D

Katy,
Take home 1/2! Have fun at your dinner out, and good for you on the workouts. I do something similar. I tend to work out Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, then most times not again until Saturday Morning. Yes, it does feel good when clothes fit better, although I still haven't tried to wear a skirt to work yet. :p

Alysha,
Have fun at your party! Good for you on the 5 workouts!

Who else needs to check in?

How cute! DS#2 will come in and try to do weights with me or sit ups or whatever. Unfortunately, though he looks cute doing the weights, I'm always afraid he's going to injure himself (I try to steer him to the 3 pounders)!

What really cracks me up is the kiddo version of a pushup - they move their butt up and down with virtually no movement in the arm/chest area! Guess you'd call those butt-ups???? :D

Hi guys - checking in... Glad everyone is doing well. Unfortunately I'm having a difficult time now. Tuesday my ear clogged and I developed extreme pain... I ended up going to the ER Wed am b/c my dr couldn't see me until today. Turns out I have a ruptured ear drum - go figure:rolleyes: So I haven't been cooking/working out at all - just lying on the couch in pain. (I said in another thread that this pain was just a notch below childbirth!) Luckily today it's down to a dull ache - on amoxicillin and Floxin ear drops. But the really yucky part is that I have drainage coming out of my ear - so I'm having to constantly wipe out my ear - yuck.

I guess I can be thankful that it didn't happen next week when we're supposed to move:)

I'll keep you posted - keep up your good work!!

Charisse,
Don't sweat the missed workouts :D :D. I'm sorry to hear about your ear, but I'm glad it's on the mend. Would you believe that DD2 had a ruptured ear drum at age 2 and was her normal happy self (except for the goop coming out of her ear) ?

Three down, one more to go!
