My DH bought me a nutmeg grater for Christmas. He did however forget to buy the nutmeg!! He did eventually buy a jar of fresh nutmeg. My question is how long does this keep? He bought a jar of McCormick. It was in the aisle with the other spices at the market. I have it in my spice cabinet. Does fresh nutmeg expire????
