I made the meringue "nests" for the Fresh Berry Pavlovas tonight (from the Best of CL 3), but we are all too stuffed from dinner to eat this dessert. How do I store the cooked meringues? Not sure they would hold up in the fridge, and don't want to get sick from storing them at room temp., so I really don't know. Surely somebody can help me. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!1

Are they cooked until the meringue is completely dry? If so, I think you can store it at room temperature. When I make meringue cookies, it never occurred to me to refrigerate them. And I see them at the grocery store at room temperature, also.
Oh, and too stuffed to eat dessert?! Pshaw. What a bunch of wimps. :p

You can store them in an airtight container at room temperature for about 2 days.
