I've posted a bit, and read a lot. Although I know nobody, I find it comforting to read other peoples opinions. So...I'll be in Australia in a couple of weeks. I'm spending a week alone in Sydney before I meet up with a friend. Any advice?

FYI...I'm on an undefined budget. (I'm not one to set a price, I just try to spend as little as possible. I'm still young. Don't have much. Probably staying in a hostel. But...I've saved. There are things worth splurging on, such as this trip.) I'm open to anything, but hoping for some worthwhile dining tips. I'd greatly appreciate anyones advice.

TIA.

really just bumping...but to re-phrase, does anybody have any tips on dining and site-seeing/day trips in/around Sydney?

I plan to climb the Harbor Bridge. I want to see a show in the Opera House. I would like to go to the Hunter Valley. I really want to walk around a lot. Basically just wander. I don't want to plan every minute and feel harried. I want to go to the Chinese Gardens. Sorry, I'm excited. My point here is not to speculate on what I think seems to be the good things to do in Sydney. But, I'd love some input. TIA.
