Last night I made the Hearty Chicken Noodle Soup from an old issue of CL (the one with the cupcakes on the front - 9/99?). It would be okay to freeze this soup, right?

Absolutely! I freeze it all the time.

I freeze chicken soup all the time and make HUGE batches of it for my freezer.
I don't care for soggy noodles, & find it best to freeze the soup without the noodles.
The first night we eat it (before adding noodles) I 'mentally portion' it out for dinner that night, & 2-4 bowls for leftovers.
I put that in a different pot and add noodles
for dinner & let the rest cool (separately).
After dinner I put the 'cooled' soup in several containers in the freezer & label them. When we want soup I take it out, defrost it, heat, & add noodles until done.
It's a fast dinner, and still has fresh noodles that aren't mushy or falling apart. Can ya tell I'm picky about my noodles? Lol!
