I got bored yesterday and decided to try the Wheat berry - stuffed winter squash. My husband and I loved it. The cooking time is long - 2 hours, but the prep is easy and there is very little mess.

I'd never had wheat berries before. Now I'm trying to think of other things to use them in.

Thanks for the reviw hlao. I looked at this and thought about making it, now that you've tried it I think I'll have to go ahead and do it too.

Where did you find the wheat berries at? I have nibbed a little at the grocery and didn't come across them. TIA

We have a Co-op that carries all kinds of bulk grains. I'd think some sort of specialty store would be your best bet.

I posted a recipe for a winter soup with wheat berries a while back. Here's the link: http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/Forum1/HTML/002752.html

This soup is so yummy! It's my favorite winter soup.
