I am planning to make the Chicken-and-Pasta Bake with Basil this week. I love any kind of chicken/cheese/pasta casserole! So, I went to the store to buy Asiago cheese to make the sauce and I ended up buying "mild." Did I buy the wrong kind? I think I might have since the recipe calls for "hot Asiago cheese sauce." Do I need to look for the "hot" variety? I don't remember seeing it as an option. Please help. I'm still really new in the kitchen and don't always know what I'm doing. Thanks much!

Oh, by the way, if anyone has any other cheesy/chicken/noodle casseroles, please let me know cause I'd love to try them too!

The "hot in the title refers to the fact that the sauce is heated. So you have the right cheese!

Thanks, sneezles. I feel like an idiot! I guess you can't learn if you don't ask though.

I made this last night and we thought it was wonderful. I had everything except the asiago cheese so made due with mild cheddar and feta.
