I cannot believe we are FINALLY getting a Trader Joes within 5 miles of where I live....
and DH won't reconsider NOT relocating :o

For those of you in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area...it will be in Elm Grove :)

What a bummer! I keep hearing rumors that TJs is coming to the Twin Cities, too, but no location definites, yet. Hopefully you can enjoy it for a bit before you relocate!

Have faith, Kismet. I cover real estate and I hear the same rumors. If Milwaukee is getting one, can the Cities be far behind?

Wallycat, tell your DH that you will only relocate if the town has a TJs!!!

Well Ana, have you chosen a spot yet? If not, take the list of nationwide TJ's that are in a snowy climate and use that as your list of options! :D

Ack, really?! Not too far for a Saturday drive for me! :)

Wally, I hope you can convince your husband of not relocating and/or finding a nice place *with* a TJ's!

DH laughed at me when I presented him with the TJ's list and requested relocation be based on that sheet...go figure :p  ;)

It's very possible -- we recently had three built within several months, although our first came a couple years ago.

Ana, it's been a long search for you. At least finding a TJs will help narrow it down for you!

OMG that is such great news! I have never been to one, but have been drooling at the thought based on what everyone on these boards have said about them. Yay!!! So do you have any more details Ana?

Isn't Brookfield where Penzey's is located, too.

I'm sorry, I'd have to kill him

Ladylake, yes, it is the headquarters of Penzey's as well :) And I had thought that the glares and dirty looks I was throwing him would sway him, but it hasn't  I guess if we relocate to Sequim, it's only an hour or so to Seattle

I don't have all the details. My neighbor knits with a bunch of ladies from Elm Grove and they gossip about it there.

Last night she said there's an official "sign" on the building announcing the arrival. I don't know the date it will open. I'll have to scope out the website and the local papers to see about more info.

For those from the area, there used to be a specialized butchershop at that site (can't recall the name now). I think it is (but am not really sure) on Bluemound, in the little strip mall where the PDQ used to be. There was a Japanese restaurant in the strip mall as well and I don't know if they are still there or not.

I'll post updates as I hear them.

I know exactly the place you're talking about. I will have to keep my eyes open when I drive past there too. Thanks for the heads up.

Not to further depress wallycat, but anyone heard anything more about TJ's coming?
