I dicided to put all the weekend reviews in one thread instead of individual ones.

Salad of Papaya, Mango and Grapefruit-CL 4/04-this was just what the name says-and really nothing more. It was okay, but nothing sprecial-just a mix of fruit.

Grill Hamburgers with Cognac, Mustard and Chives-Central Market-Excellent!! I used very lean beef and they were still very moist. I will make this my standard when making a beef burger.

Baked Black Beans with Crusty Cheddar Topping-posted on another thread-I agree that this is really good. I used canned beans also but didn't precook the onions and stuff and we loved it-Thanks pilgrim719

Hearty Sour Rye Bread-CL-J/F/04- Very good bread. I did it in the bread machine and it came out beautiful. Great for sandwiches.

I made the Papaya, Mango and Grapefruit Salad last week and thought it was a very interesting fruit combination. I was amazed at how "sweet" the grapefruit became when combined with the other two fruits. I served it with mexican food and it was a refreshing side dish.

I had a leftover one for lunch and it was still delicious. I forgot to say that I made some caramelized onions to go with it, and it really went well with this burger.

Grilled Hamburgers with Cognac, Mustard and Chives

Grilled Hamburgers with Cognac, Mustard and Chives
5 servings

1 1/2 pounds Central Market ground beef
1 1/2 tablespoons Cognac
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon minced fresh chives
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Central Market Whole Wheat Buns
tomato slices
sunflower sprouts

Combine the ground beef, Cognac, mustard, chives, salt, and pepper in a
bowl and mix well. Shape into five large patties. Grill over medium-hot
coals for 7 to 10 minutes per side. Serve on buns with tomato slices and
sunflower sprouts.
