In the mood for something entirely differnet-then try this. It was actually pretty good. This was one of those recipes that I just had to try cause I couldn't imagine it. I haven't ever had anything quite like it. It was very "saucey", but in a good way. The egg is cooked through, and the flavor of the egg, sauce and bread all in one bite was a nice combo of flavors. It wasn't an outstanding meal, but very different and tasty enough to be memorable. I served it with an old CL recipe for Mediterranean Chopped Salad (5/00) which was okay-again, not outstanding, but tasty.

Thanks for the review. I've been eyeing this one for a "different" brunch dish. I'll definitely give it a try, now!

DH made this on Friday. We thought it was good and very filling. I think the only change he made was upping the garlic (of course :D) and using whole wheat sourdough bread.
Terry, I thought your comments were funny because that's exactly what we said about the dish! :) It was very different from what we usually make.
