Adrianna you mentioned you would start a thread on this... so indulge me and tell me about this stuff you guys like so much. what is it, where do you buy it, how much does it cost, what are your favorite products, etc.

Well, I'm not Adrianna or Eva, but I love Bare Escentuals. I use the foundation, eye liner, mineral veil (powder) and Warmth (blush). I have bought mine off QVC - usually on special, but I really don't know prices off hand. I remember thinking that it was fairly expensive the first time I got a container of foundation, but a little bit really does go a long way. I love the fact that I get coverage with it but I don't feel like I'm wearing makeup. I REALLY did not like the way that liquid foundation made my skin feel, so most of the time I just didn't wear any makeup. I also love the fact that it does not cause me to have breakouts - which was a given with liquid makeup.
I've been wearing Bare Escentuals for going on a year now and, for me, it's a keeper.

Well, on the other thread I said I was going to sleep soon, but here I am..still playing!!! These boards are so addicting!!!
I am by no means a B.E. expert...but I wish I was! I went to an "Ulta" store the last time I was in Orlando (it is the only Ulta store in FL...and is kind of like a Sephora but with more inexpensive brands as well as some higher end stuff.) They had a ton of B.E. stuff but I am one of those people that gets easily overwhelmed...then I can't make a decision so I end up not buying ANYTHING!!!
I only got my sample kit from Ebay...the next B.E. product I bought from QVC. I used to make fun of people that watch QVC and order all that junk...but there I was...dialling as fast as my little fingers could dial! I bought the foundation I thought suited me best..."light #2." I have a bit of yellow undertones in my skin. It came with a brush (I am not that "into" makeup and stuff, but I have a girlfriend who is and she is very impressed with their brushes and tools) and also Mineral Veil. I hear a lot of folks raving about the MV but I am not crazy about it, but I do use it sometimes. It is supposed to be a transluscent finishing powder but I swear that it whitens my face a bit, which I do not like.
Ok, before I just keep on rambling on and on let me tell you...I LOOOVE the foundation which is called "Bare Minerals." It gives me coverage while still allowing the "glow" on my skin come through. When I wore most liquid makeups I felt like I was covering my blemishes and evening out my skin tone, but at the same time I was wearing a mask. The B.M. covers in a really cool way...also it is supposedly pure enough to sleep in but I don't ever do that. No reason to tempt the acne gods!
Ok, I will be checking this thread periodically...but now I must go to sleep! Good night!

Another BE fan here...and I get mine from QVC also...I first heard about it on a thread on the Video Fitness BB...
I also use the foundation stick from Arbonne...but it never fails...every time I wear BE to work someone always makes a comment about my skin...
I would like to learn to experiment more...I've got a ton of colors...but I just use the regular BE foundation, mineral veil, and glee, or summer as a blush...

LOVE Bare Escentuals!! :D
I have bought a few things from ULTA, but I buy most of it from my hair salon (because I'd rather give my business to my hairdresser, even though sometimes ULTA is cheaper). On your average day, I use the summer bisque (an excellent concealer!), the foundation, and cheek and eye color. My friend and I both use BE, so one of us will buy a product and then we'll split it -- a little goes a LONG way, and there's no way I'd ever use up a whole thing of eyeshadow. I don't care for powdered eyeliner, and I don't use their lipsticks or mascara, but I love their lip glosses.
Since my friend and I have split everything we own, I've got a lot of stuff that I don't use, like the mineral veil. I just find that I don't really need it -- the stuff stays on all day even without it. It can be expensive ($12-14 per eyeshadow, $25 for foundation, etc.), but like others have said, a little goes a long way.
I also love that it feels like I'm hardly wearing anything, and it takes me about 5 minutes to put it on. The ONLY downsides I've found are that it can be messy (powder all over the bathroom), and one other reaction that might be a fluke -- one night after running, my face broke out in hives. It's the only time I've exercised with it on. I didn't eat anything strange that day, so I can only think it was the makeup. I don't wear makeup everyday (in fact, most days I don't), so it was a one-time deal. I haven't tested it again, but I think my face is super-sensitive, so it just broke out from the reaction of the makeup with heavy sweat. :o
I definitely think one of the kits is the best way to get started.

I ask because I have white, white skin but I have been told by the people at the Prescriptives counter that I have yellow undertones. The bottle I have now is Yellow/Orange Fresh Cream 02 - but it is a tad too dark so have not been wearing it this winter. If I buy foundation at the drugstore (which I have yet to find one I like) I have to get the lightest one they have in whatever line it is. I have tried Calvin Klein & MAC (NC 15) in the past, and liked both of those... but still have not found one that I am CRAZY about.
I have a few more questions. From what it looks like, BE is all powder/pigment based. So you brush it on like loose powder but it is really a foundation? Also, does it offer any SPF protection? If not, does it "sit" well over SPF moisturizer?

That's right, it's a powder. You brush it on like loose powder, but amazingly, the concealer and foundation actually conceal and even out the skin tone, like a liquid or cream foundation. I just checked my containers -- the concealer is SPF 20 and the foundation is SPF 15. I always put it on over a moisturizer, and it "sits" fine. :)
I think you can try it out at ULTA, if you have one of those near you. I tried it out first at my salon before I bought anything.

sunburst,

I just ordered one of the newer, darker shades to try and mix with my "medium".
I also found lots of new, starter kits on ebay.

Oh yes! I forgot about mixing different shades! I haven't done that yet!
sunberst-There is a lighter shade than what I wear, I think it is called "fair." The fondations are all SPF 15 but I still wear Nutragena's SPF 30 everyday under my makeup. It is a "foundation" but it is not heavy coverage. My mom is used to wearing that thick, pancake makeup and when she tried it she said, "Are you kidding me? this doesn't cover at all!" I am trying to steer her away from the heavy foundation she wears everyday but she likes to be really covered.
Aggie-I am kind of embarrassed to admit, but I wear the foundation every day to the gym! Now, I would never wear a liquid foundation to the gym...what I used to do was just dot some concealor on my blemishes and put a tiny bit of blush on. I see gals with a full face of makeup at the gym and I think they look ridiculous, plus it can't be good to seat under all that stuff. But I just lightly buff on the Bare Minerals foundation and I feel better about my skin. It has never given me a bad reaction so maybe you do have very sensitive skin.
Gail-I have been meaning to try glee. I know there is a Sephora at the Boca Town center mall near you.....do they have BE products there? If so, I have to get up there soon.

Sunberst,
If you don't have a store nearby that carries BE try ordering the shade that you would like to try from QVC - they have a very good return policy (30 days - no questions asked) and I think they even refund the shipping if you return an item.

I usually look for a medium coverage foundation... the super sheer "tint" ones usually don't provide enough to even out how i would like, but the heavy ones are way too much. I don't want to feel the makeup on my face or feel like I have to scrape it off. Ew. I want something that will look natural, provide medium coverage & feel nice on my skin.
This BE line looks neat. I do have both an Ulta & Sephora by me but never noticed this before!
I am going to go play with makeup after work... this whole powder natural minerals thing has me curious. :)

You can also order it from the BE stores. There is one in Sacramento and one in San Francisco, and I don't know where else.
I have the bisque (great concealer),light and fair foundations (I blend them), 9 eyeshadows (love them), mascaras, blushes, mineral veil, brushes.
I have been using their productsfor 2+ years and I love them. I can even fall asleep with the make-up on and it is fine. My skin never breaks out anymore.
The return policy with the stores is fantastic. If you don't like it just send it back and try something else. you can also request samples of the eye and blush powders or lipsticks. Just ask.

Oh my, no! I am sorry..I should have been more clear...I wear Nutragena's SUNSCREEN every day! I am very vigilant about my sunscreen as I used to be a sun worshipper in my teens and early twenties and I have the hyperpigmentation (brown spots) to prove it!!!

So I went to Ulta tonight & took home the BareMinerals Foundation in Fair #1 & the Mineral Veil. I also got a brush... but not BE. I got the Ulta brand one. If I like it, I may go back and get the foundation in the Light #2 as well... so I can mix it a little for the summer months. It just seemed way to dark to use for my whole face.
I was hoping to find a starter kit like you guys spoke of, but no luck. In fact, there was virtually no information on the BE line at all! I only knew what mineral veil was because of you guys. You guys are great. :)

Sunberst, I just ordered a starter kit on E-bay for $19.99. I'll give you a review when it arrives.
This thread finally got me off my duff and give this stuff a try. My face is a wreck right now, I keep piling on more makeup to cover the redness and unevenness, which of course makes everything worse.
Hopefully BE will help! Cheryl - I'll bring the kit to Detroit in a few weeks. We can do makeovers!

Mine comes with a different brush, not the BE one.
Cheryl, I did like it - and have been stewing about it every since! There's no where to get it around here, except for QVC. When the e-bay idea popped up I decided I didn't have any more excuses!

I have the same complaint. I won't buy anymore of their brushes.

04-01-2004, 07:59 PM
Interesting! I haven't noticed a shedding problem...but now I will be looking for it!
sunberst-just remember...a starter kit had teeny tiny samples. I really do not think $25 for the foundation is bad at all. I think it is well worth it, hopefully you will, too!
Ellyn-I am also wondering about the brow powder. I would actually like to LIGHTEN my brows just a tad and I wonder if that powder would work. I have highlighted blond hair...with a lot of my natural dark brown in between and underneath...and I have black eyebrows. I like the combination but I wonder as I age if lighter brows might look a bit softer.

so..
I LIKE IT!!!
it amazes me how it gives great coverage but does not look or feel heavy. i went back and bought the bisque multi-tasker to use as a concealor & an eyeshadow (a light pink shade called blush). the shadow does crease on me by the end of the day, which is my pet peeve, but other than that i like everything else!
i just worry that when i am brushing this stuff on, that powder fragments are going into the air and getting onto my contact lenses. i try to keep my eyes closed and brush it on carefully. it is a little messy... the powder tends to get on the counter, but is worth it.
a thumbs up from me!

I'm glad to hear that you like BE! I've never tried the eyeshadow - if I wear anything on my eyelids I just use the Warmth. I like the fact that it gives me a little color but isn't too much.

I'm glad to hear you like it too! I always worry when I recommend something I like that others will be disappointed, just because everyone has different tastes.
I wear and love their shadows, but I don't have creases in my eyelids so I have never had that problem and it didn't occur to me that it would be an issue. Sorry, Beth! Glad to hear you're overall happy, though.

Me too. I was going to try Cheryl's when we get together in April (with my own brushes), but I bit the bullet and ordered. I hope I got the right shade. My rosacea is raging loud and proud right now, and I'm really worried about the coverage. :o

Beth- On the eyeshadow creasing...use the bisque on your eyes as an undercoat and make sure you put your base powder on them also. The eyeshadow should crease less. I have the same problems but it does cut down on it.
Sandy-I have rosacea also and find the using the bisque on my cheeks and then the base powder eliminates the redness.

Sharon - thanks for letting me know. Does the bisque come with the 'basic' order? I can't even remember, at this point. Maybe it's an add-on? I tried to order blush on the web (where I placed my order from BareMinerals.com) but it wouldn't let me, for some reason.

Hmmm...can't remember where I got the bisque from. Like Eva, I got some of my stuff at Ulta and the salon that we go to. I also ordered a "fair" amount off of QVC when they were having a special in December! I love makeup! If it doesn't come in the order from BE, I would look into picking some up. It is my favorite part of the whole system...really evens out my red little cheeks and nose!

Sandy,
I think that I have a small container of "Summer Bisque" that I can bring with me to our get together if you don't get any in your kit. I think that the Summer Bisque is a little darker than the regular, but maybe it will give you an idea of how it would work for you.

Yep, the summer bisque is what I use. Sandy, you probably want the lighter multi-tasking bisque -- same idea, different tone. But yeah, trying out Cheryl's summer bisque might still give you an idea of how it would work for you.

Eva (and anyone else who can answer),
Would the concealer cover under eye circles really well? I am frustrated with other concealers being to thin and wearing off in only a few hours. I would like something that would cover my hereditary under-eye circles without looking like I have make up caked on, or worrying about having to reapply during the workday or when I am out at a formal event.
I do not usually wear foundation, or even the type of tinted moisturizers, because I feel I notice it on my skin too much. I am fortunate to have pretty good skin and do not need to wear anything except maybe something with light coverage to even out my skin tone. I am also afraid of wearing something too heavy because I know it would trigger breakouts. Does BE have anything with light coverage that you know of?
I, too, have fair skin, and decided a few years ago to wear SPF and forego any kind of tanning. The tans never last long on me, so it isn't worth the damage!
Appreciate any advice.

i just had to add my two cents. a bunch of us girls went down to the beach a few weekends ago. two of us ended up getting "raccoon eyes" from wearing our sunglasses. one of my friends had the bare minerals kit with her and applied it to our faces. neither one of us could believe how well it worked. it completely evened out our color and still let the glow come through. and b/c it's powder, it didn't feel like we even had makeup on at all. i definitely want to buy it, but she said it was around $60, so i'm waiting until payday. i've always had problems getting my skintones even, so i'm excited about this product.
sorry this was so long;)

I don't have much to add that hasn't already been said, but did want to let sunberst know that there is a color called "Fairly Light" that you might want to try. I have very fair skin too and use the fair in the winter, but need a touch more color in the summer. The Fairly Light works well for me, and saves having to buy 2 different colors and mix them.

I received my package today. It's 4:44, and I haven't worn make up all day because of my break-out - I wanted to give my skin a break.
I threw some BE on (without watching the video that came with - Jim is watching golf on that TV), and so far, so good. I think I might have overdone it on the warmth, but this will take a bit of practice. Curious to see how I feel in a couple of hours.
This might be the beginning of something great. ;) :D Thanks for all the info, ladies!

New Question:
When your face sweats, does the BE foundation stuff come off? I ask this because I live in a hot, humid place where the simple act of getting into my hot car will make my face perspire. Right now I use a tinted moisturizer, because I don't like heavy makeup, but I know that when I wipe/dab my sweaty face, it comes off on my hands, so it feels like a waste to even bother putting it on in the first place! I don't want to spend big $$ for the BE only to have it wipe off the same way.
clairea
04-11-2004, 06:43 AM
Heidi, I don't have a problem with the BE coming off. I bought mine at the BE store, and the girl there told me to put some of the mineral veil on before the foundation powder on hot, humid days. I tried this last summer and it worked really well.

Living in South Florida, now that it is getting more humid and hot, I find the BE works better! It seems to keep my skin from shine and sweat...I actually have never noticed it coming off...I use the foundation, then dust lightly with mineral veil...
I am waiting for another shade, "tan" to come from QVC, so I can mix it with my medium...I also just ordered another BE lipgloss, which I love also...

I am so impressionable! After reading all your rave reviews I clicked on the above link and ordered away. It wasn’t until the next day that I realized I had just spent $40 on foundation (w/ shipping) and I don’t even wear foundation - I hate the stuff.! After brunch on Sunday, Jim and I did yardwork for about 5 hours. It wasn't warm out - in fact, it was downright chilly - but I still broke a sweat.

I picked medium, because even though I am fair skinned, I hate admitting it. ;)
You get two different shades of foundation - so even if it's too dark, you just add more of the lighter powder to soften it up - and vice versa.
I guess I got lucky. :D

Nope. Unless they're doing it on the black market. Either that, or the BE website hasn't been updated.
What are you moisturizing with, Debie? Maybe that's the issue (with your flaking skin).....not sure, but just a thought. I had a sample size of Clinque's Dramatically Different moisturizer, and it works better under BE than the Mary Kay stuff I had been using prior.

I'm using Cetaphyl cleanser and Cetaphyl moisturizer. I'm trying to go as pure as possible to give my skin a break.
I dunno, maybe it's just getting used to the difference between liquid makeup and this powder.

Debie,
I'll bet it just feels differently because you're used to liquid foundation. I use Cetaphil cleanser and moisturizing cream (the thick stuff in the tub) under my BE, and I don't notice it feeling dry. You probably just need to get used to it. :)

Hi guys! Glad to see everyone, for the most part, is happy with BE! I have to tell you, I raved about this stuff to my cousin in Orlando. I went with her to the Ulta store that just opened (only Ulta store in FL...it is so cool!) and I helped her pick a color. Well, she ended up returning it a few days later. She just didn't like it. So there are a few people who have not been as thrilled as us!
Debie-I remember watching Leslie Blodgett (CEO of BE) on QVC and she stresses that the Bare Minerals foundation is NOT a powder. She went on to explain further that although it appears to be a powder, it is actually something else, but of course I cannot explain it as well as she did. So that is why it is not drying and doesn't cake up like a powder.
SandyM-Just have to back up your experience with my own. I used to go bare faced to the gym, and depending on how my skin looked that day I would either feel "okay" or "terribly self conscious." Now I put a LIGHT dusting of Bare Minerals on and feel fresh faced and I have a bit of a "glow." Even after a spin class or whatever cardio I do that day, I feel like it kind of stays on. Maybe it fades a bit, but I certainly do not feel bare faced. And I don't get streaks down my face from trails of sweat.
Geez...I wish I would have bought stock in BE a long time ago!
I'm such a sucker that I got a sample kit off eBay. :) I used it for the first time this morning, and I really like it. It feels very light on my face, yet I can definitely tell I'm getting coverage.
They're not kidding when they say a little Warmth goes a long way! I overdid it, and had to wash my face and start the whole process over again!
I'll be anxious to see how it feels this weekend since we're supposed to get hotter temperatures. So far, though, I really like it.

I received mine. Yes (!), it feels great on and I don't have the urge to wash my face to get it off, but I also can't see that there is coverage - maybe I needed a darker color - I got Med 3, but I think the next shade was for much darker skin or am I wrong?
After looking at the brochure that came with the product I am interested in the brow gel (mascara type brush) & powder - has anyone tried these?

I'm betting everyone has this issue. :) I rectify that situation by blending it with a bit of Mineral Veil or lighter foundation, and I'm finding a very happy medium therein. ;)
I'm anxiously waiting for my blush to arrive. I love this stuff. Seriously. And the thought of brushing this on before spin class is way more appealing than walking out with nothing. I'm in the midst of a huge rosacea break-out, and I don't want to give anyone the creeps...... :p

Molli,
I just checked the QVC web-site: BE will be featured May 17th at 10AM-12PM and 6-9PM.
You can purchase at any time however..I just received the pink and melon 3-piece lip and liner kits, and they're great!
Also, I just found out that www.sephora.com has started selling BE products...not as large a variety as QVC, but if you purchase $75., which is not hard to do:D shipping is FREE.
Sephora is featuring this with any order:
Recieve a free deluxe sample of Bare Essentuals i.d. bareMinerals All-Over Face Colors in True (soft golden rose), plus a blush brush, free with any merchandise purchase, while supplies last.
I LOVE Sephora!
Hope this info helps:D

I've been wearing Bare Escentuals for about two years now on and off. What amazed me the most is when putting on the foundation (Medium Beige 2.3) I don't feel like anything is going on my face. I don't feel like it's covering anything, but then I stand back and look, and I'm smooth, even, and covered! I use the Bisque as a concealer for zits and dark circles, and I also use the Warmth, the Glee blush, and the Mineral Veil as a translucent powder. I also carry the travel brush in my makeup case loaded with the mineral veil for a touch up during the day.
I bought my first kit from the infomercial, but discontinued the regular auto delivery shipments. I now order only when I need it. I can order the Mineral Veil from QVC, but I have to order my foundation from the 800 number since QVC just has 'light, medium and dark' not the in-between shades that I got from the first infomercial. I've tried the eyeliners and lip liners and find they wear off within hours, so I sent them back. All I use is the foundation and blush. Well, I do also use the Buzz Latte lip balm because it's got shea butter and smells like coffee. :D
I tend to perspire on my face a great deal and I found that liquid makeups seemed to mudslide down my nose after a few hours. After using the BE for a few months I noticed clearer skin, and no mudslides! Over the winter I went back to a liquid makeup for awhile thinking that I needed the additional coverage. After one month of using Revlon Colorstay, I had six zits at one time on my face. I've never had more than two at a time in my life! I went back to BE, and in the week that I've gone back the zits have almost cleared up, and I love it again.
My only gripe is that its not really travel friendly. It's difficult to carry four or five brushes and four or five containers with you, and reapplying in the car as my husband is going around a turn can result in a pricey powder explosion! :o I've heard QVC now has a travel compact, I might have to look into that...but for coverage, and the way it makes my skin feel, I love it! Price isn't an issue when it goes such a long way.

Ok, Jewel...that's it..I am gonna try "glee" and "Bisque!!"
Gabby-Oh yeah, baby! the Sephora there is BEAUTIFUL! Remember they recently (well a few years ago) added on to the mall. It is in that new section!
I ordered Glee earlier this week, so good to know it works well. I liked the look of it and thought I could use it in place of Warmth. I love Warmth, but Glee looked more versatile to me for some reason.
I also ordered some eye liners and their brush. I've never used powder eyeliner (wet or dry) so I'm anxious to see how long it lasts one me.

I bought off QVC when they were doing the show specials and you can get much better deals. So log on the website around that time and order. Thanks for the tip that a show is coming up also as I need some reorders!
I have to also put in pitch for clear radiance. It's a slightly shimmery sheer pale pink powder that I mix with my foundation. It gives me a "boost" without adding any color like the glee and warmth do. I LOVE it and use it every day! It is soooo subtle but just adds a little extra something.;)

BTW, Gabbyh...*sigh*...they do NOT sell BE at the Sephora at Town Centre Mall in Boca! I went there on Saturday afternoon. I battled the other cars on the parking lot (there was NO parking spots to be found...seriously, that place is a zoo) and briskly walked into the mall straight to Sephora without stopping anywhere. I walked right up to a salesperson and asked, "Where is your Bare Escentuals line?" and she said, "We don't carry BE in this store!!!"
I was so disappointed! She said they carry it in some stores, and that she thinks the Sephora at Palm Beach Gardens is going to start carrying it (closer for you, farther for me! )
Also, she said if you order any BE product from Sephora on line you can return it to any Sephora store. So that is good to know.
Just wanted to let you know before you made a trek down there!

Thanks Adrianna,
Check out the sephora web-site...they really have much of the BE line, plus no tax and FREE shipping over $75.
I tried to win some of the auctions on ebay for the BE sample sets, but have had no luck yet.
I must tell you I can't handle the crowds at that mall...the last time we were there, an 80+ guy ran the stop sign (which he did not see)and came barreling into my husbands truck...then accused us of going too fast...when the police came, they told us they're used to the eldery drivers...

Okay. Beginning week 3 of the BE makeup. After a few makeup brush hassles I found one that gave me the application control I wanted. I ordered the starter kit on e-bay - it's a nice way to try the product.
I love this! It took a while to get used to it, and I still struggle with the mess, but honestly, my face has never looked better. It doesn't even look like I have makeup on.
My face is very clear right now - I switched cleansing product too. Now I use Galderma cleaner/moisturizer; Elidel topical to control the rosacea, and the BE makeup. I honestly feel that my face looks great.
I'm so glad this thread got started so I could get my butt off the couch and try the makeup.

I was wondering if you ever got your BE in the mail, I never heard back from you! :) Glad you're loving the stuff!
As for the Glee versus Warmth issue, I use both most of the time. I use the Warmth as a contour color under my cheekbones to give me that 'shadowy' depth, then the Glee directly on the apple of my cheeks to bring out the cheekbones. Mineral Veil goes over all.
I ordered Glee and got it in the mail this week and I love it! Also love the Warmth, too.
I got two eyeshadows and an eye liner, but haven't used either yet. I've never used a powder eyeliner before, although it does say you can use it wet or dry, so maybe I'll try wet first.

Jewel-Thanks for the tip on the glee/warmth...I am going to buy glee the next chance I get and wondered how to use it. I do use warmth regularly!
sandym and sueK....so glad you like the products!
Debie-I know, this stuff is great and I really do not think it is "bad" for our skin!!! I do not have rosacea, but I suffer from breakouts and I think this stuff is helping.

Sue - I use the eyeliner wet. I had never used a powder eyeliner before the BE and I love it. I feel that I get as much control as I did with the liquid eyeliner I used before. I have a couple of eyeshadows, but I don't wear them much - I've never been into eyeshadow much but I love my eyeliner!

Cheryl - thanks for the input! Do you find that the eyeliners runs much? Between my contacts and allergies, I always find that I'm rubbing my eyes and so I reapply the eyeliner a lot. Sue, no I don't find that the eyeliner runs much, but I do sometimes get "particles" in my eye and it will rub off. I would think that between your contacts & allergies you would be better off using it wet. I would think that the dry would tend to flake more.
I hope that it works well for you!

Bisque has become my savior lately. I spent a month or two wearing heavy liquid makeup because I was sort of bored with BE and was thinking I needed more coverage, and all it did was break me out. :( I had three or four zits on my face at one time and they wouldn't heal! Bisque is the only thing that covers them. There's a little snub nosed brush that I use to dab it on, and it covers so naturally.
I've been back on BE for a little over a week and I can already notice a huge difference in my skin. I still have two stubborn zits, but the Bisque covers them up beautifully! I've even used it on DH when he got a nuclear warhead before he accepted an award a couple of years ago! Blended right in! ;)
I also use Bisque to mask dark circles and as an eyeshadow base. Great stuff! :)

Hmmmm...I have not been getting Email notifications that there were additional posts on this thread!
Ok...I gotta go check out that link again that ellyn posted. I am really bad at comparing prices...when they tell you on QVC that they are giving you a great price I just blindly trust them. What a sucker I am!!!
Well, this is what I ordered:
Clear Radiance with angled brush ($26)
Summer Bisque with brush ($23)
Warmth with brush ($24)
Skin Revver Upper ($21)
Shipping was additional...but my total was under $110. I really like getting the brushes. I already have Warmth (tiny sample size) and know I like it so I went ahead and ordered the full size which I expect to last forever. You really do only need a tiny amount of the stuff! I ordered the Clear Radiance because I did not hear anything about "Glee." Does anyone know if Glee is similar to Clear Radiance? Anyone have Clear Radiance? Give me the scoop! The bisque I ordered in the "summer" shade cuz I use "light" foundation and that had yellow undertones. Hope I made the right choice...I wasn't sure.
I ordered the Skin Revver Upper just for the heck of it. Not sure if I will like it though I have heard others mention that it was good...I gotta go check out that makeupalley site!
I wanted to try an eyeliner or shadow but I get overwhelmed with too many choices. I wasn't sure what I should get so I just didn't get anything.

Lisa, I have extremely dry skin, and haven't had any trouble with flakiness even in the winter. I do make sure to keep my skin exfoliated and well-moisturized, but had to do that with liquid makeup too. Even though the bareminerals is a powder going on, it really doesn't seem to "catch" on the flakiness like loose powder does.
This thread is making me realize just how ghostly-white my skin is! Am I the only one who has to use the Bareminerals in Fair? (I have that white-white skin that goes with very dark hair and blue eyes)

Claire - I use "Medium". I'm not sure if it's the right shade or not, but when I asked my SIL if it looked right, she confirmed. ;)
Am I the only one who uses the same brush for all BM products? I have the kobuki brush (or however you spell it), but it's awkward. I just use the small brush for touch-ups and the larger brush for everything else.
I didn't want to spend $100 on brushes, and I'm having a hard time managing the location of all this stuff. ;)

Glee is not anything close to Clear Radiance. I think I may have already mentioned this but I love the Clear Radiance. It just gives a nice shimmery subtle undertone when used with your foundation. I wouldn't think anyone else notices the shimmer part, I just see it when I look in the mirror. I use it every single day to "brighten" up my face. I find that it is not really enough color.
Eva borrowed me some Glee and that has some color! It works just like the blushes, a LITTLE goes a REALLY long way.

My BE order finally came today! :D I love it, just from my trial run tonight. I love that it doesn't have that sparkly stuff in it that a lot of powdered makeup/blush has-- that screams "makeup!!!" to me and I like a more natural look. This could be the ticket, but I want to see how it wears on me. :)
I bought a new sampler kit that includes 3/4 of a full thing of foundation, 3/4 mineral veil, 3/4 warmth and an applicator brush, and a video of how to put it on.
So far, I really, really like it. The color suits me perfectly, and I like that I can make it darker if I get a tan. It has done a great job of covering up my acne, and I have a good amount. And, it does not feel super thick. I wouldn't mind a bit more coverage, but I will probably stick with this brand for a while. And now, the reason to worship me...
check out www.medi-spastore.com
They are currently offering 25% off of their bare escentuals, plus free shipping. (It said on items over $75, but my order was under $30 and it was free.) I have already checked it out, I ordered through them, and there were no catches. So, if you wanted to try it out, but were hesistant because of the cost- this is your answer!

Thank you! I am going to that link now! I have been wanting to try the "Cabana" eyeshadow...it is supposed to kind of look like you are not wearing anything, just an improvement over your natural skin.
BTW-Here are me "mini reviews" on what I purchased:
Clear Radiance-I like it....it doesn't do much, but actually that is a good thing. I have been putting on a pinkish blush lately (Maybelline stick) then putting CR over it, and also on my collarbones, nose, forehead.
Summer Bisque-This isn't the great concealor BE mmakes it out to be, but I have found when I use it on top of my original concealor (Almay liquid) it covers great. Of course I bought it to use INSTEAD of my original concealor, but that's ok.
Skin Revver Upper-still can't decide. That was a "wild card" purchase anyway.

I tried the BE website instead of QVC, but when I saw that they would automatically sign you up for refills, I backed off. Especially since I should be moving soon, and don't want to go through the process of sending orders back late or never receiving them and being charged for them. If anyone has advice on how they avoided the automatic deliveries, please let me know.
I ordered the Fairly Light Foundation, Clear Radiance, Mineral Veil, Summer Bisque, and Bisque. I agree that maybe I would like the Bisque to cover more. So what I have done is to just apply it in layers until I feel I have the coverage. I DO like the fact that I think the coverage of the Bisque looks more natural than the cream cover-ups, and I think it may even last longer. I think it would work better in combination with the foundation. But since I have not received the foundation or CR yet, I will have to see. I just received a notice today that the foundation and CR have been shipped to me, so I am excited.
Does anyone have recommendations for a darker peach type blush from BE? It seemed on QVC that the emphasis was on pinks, but I would like peach because it is better with my coloring.
Editing to say: Maybe glee or warmth would work as a blush? let me know what you guys think.

I use warmth as blush in the winter, but I also really like one of the all over colors called True. It is peachy toned and is lighter than the warmth. Glee is definitely in the pink family.

Molli, I had ordered Warmth and Glee. I like the look of Warmth, but I generally have been putting Glee on every day as a blush. It just kind of gives my face a natural rosiness that I like.
I also have two of their eyeshadows, but I have not used them yet. I got the brush to use with them and just need to sit down and play around with them when I have time.

I use warmth as a blush. It looks good on me because of the yellow/orange tones in my skin. But I still like to wear pinks, especially if I am wearing pink clothes...
Molli-I do not have any BE lipsticks, but I keep hearing about the "buzz stick." Does anyone out there know what I am talking about? It is apparently some sort of clear thing that you dip into colors (I guess you use BE blush...I am not sure) and then apply like lipstick. An interesting concept.
mobear-what do you think of the Mineral Veil? Everyone always raves about it but I have not been using it because I don't really see it doing anything. Do you put it on after CR? Or before CR?

I just ordered my 1st BE lipstick and the brow kit, but did not get them yet (thanks mst, ordered from your link and got the discount!). I use Warmth as blush too, and like the results. I generally do not wear shadow or liner, so I can't comment on those. I do like the Mineral Veil- think it adds a nice finish for me. The product I'm least impressed with is the Bisque- just don't think it works as well as promoted.

Adrianna - I don't have any foundation or CR yet (they are both in the mail on their way to me). So I have only been using the bisque as an under eye concealer, and the mineral veil as a loose powder to set the bisque and to smooth out a non-BE cream blush I use. I think it provides a nice finish, but I think I need to reapply around the nose area during the day due to my oily skin in that area. Unfortunately, I get so busy at work that I forget to reapply things. :) I, too, like to wear pink blush when I wear pink or blue based clothes, but I generally wear peach most of the time.
I am going to be excited to try the CR and foundation. They should arrive either tomorrow or Friday. :D
I think you all convinced me to buy some warmth and glee sooner than I thought. :)

I also use Glee as a blush, but be forewarned that a little goes a LONG way. If you're not really sparing with it, you can end up looking like a clown. :o
I have about a dozen of their shadows and love them. They still look great at the end of the day. My favorite combination is Queen Tiffany and Celestine - very versatile colors.
Oh, and I have a lipstick but don't like it at all. But in BE's defense, I'm not a big lipstick fan anyway. I much prefer their glosses.

My mom just sent me an email about BE on QVC this coming Saturday. The shows will be 12am-2am EST, 12pm-2pm EST, and 10pm-12 am EST. But the COOLEST thing is the Today's Special Value for that day, which will be $49.98 (retail value $184.00) and is full of all kinds of goodies, including a cute little train case bag to put them in! My mom and I are both going to order one. I can't find anything about it on the QVC site, and I can't cut/paste the email so I can't give you all a complete product listing, but trust me--it is cool! It will be called 'The Wish Kit'.

I received my CR yesterday. I think it is a very nice rosy-mauvey pink color that could complement alot of complexions. The foundation is nice. I don't think the fairly-light looks too orange on me, which I was concerned about. However, I feel the bisque turns orangey, which is disappointing. :p
I also just received glee, warmth and true today from the media store, so I will have to try them out over the next few days.

If anyone wants me to forward them the QVC email so you can see a complete product listing, just PM me--I'd be happy to do it!
And Molli--the bag is darling! It's a little train case, with little shelves that lift out. SO cute! Lucky for me, DH is deployed so I can just sneak stuff in the house and he's none the wiser when he comes home. Gotta look on the bright side of deployments sometimes. ;)
Heidi- Great attitude! And, hey- thanks for lending your husband to the US. I can't imagine how hard it is for you...
But, back to make-up! On my video, it says that you can take a stiff small brush, and use it as concealer before the makeup. It has done well for me...I know that some of you were not happy with the other concealers...

The Buzz Latte lip balm is one of my favorite BE products! :) I originally bought it on QVC and through Sephora the last time. It's Shea Butter and coffee extract, and even smells like coffee! I know that might sound odd, but it's really great stuff. I don't like spending $8 for lip balm normally, but I'm also not much of a lip balm wearer. The only time I use it is right before bed, and I love the feel.
Also, I'm sorry that not everyone is impressed with Bisque, although I've never heard of Summer Bisque. I have the plain 'ol Bisque. There is a short eyeshadow type brush that I believe comes with it, but I find that dotting that brush on my 'spots' hides them completely! I just put the Bisque on after my moisturizer and then put my Medium 2.3 foundation on top of it. Works really well for me, but all skin types are different! It also works very well as an eyeshadow base to even out the area before I put on 'regular' eye shadow.

Jewel...have you ever tried dipping the buzz stick into "colors" (I guess they mean blushes or eyeshadows) to creat a sheer color for your lips? I heard that is one trick to do with the buzz stick! Also, I am liking my "Summer Bisque" more and more. Summer Bisque is just "Bisque" with a yellow tint to it. I have been putting SB on over my Almay concealor that I dot under my eyes, around my nose and over a few dark spots on my face. Then I put the BM foundation on. It works well, but I bought it to SIMPLIFY my routine...not add another step! Oh well, if it works I gotta do it!
Did anyone/is anyone buying the Wish Kit today on QVC? It seems like such a great deal!!! Thanks again Heidi for sending my the picture and contents of the Wish Kit!!

Don't get me wrong. I like the coverage of the bisque, but because I think my skin is fair enough that it looks orange against my skin after I wear it for about an hour. I did buy the summer bisque, but have not tried it yet b/c I thought it might be too dark for me. But I think I will try it today.
I have also just tried using the foundation itself as a concealer under my eyes last night, but didn't really inspect the results. Too tired!
I just bought the train case (in Light), and some of the foundation in Fair. The Fairly Light Foundation seems a little dark at times...which is probably good because it might make me look like I have a tan without using a tanner! I bought the train case early b/c I have to go get a haircut at 11 am and might miss the show! I *might* be up to selling the Light 2.0 color if it seems to dark. But then again I might open it just to try it, and not sell it. I will let you all know.

I know. I can't believe they have already sold 63,000 kits and it is only 9:20 am EST. I guess this is one of the rare times where it helps to be fair-skinned...that it is not sold out! Usually it is harder to find a foundation that works. I think that is what I like about this line of products; that you can put it on as light or heavy as you want, and you can mix the colors to better match your skin.

Well, you BE addicts got to me ... I just went to QVC and ordered the wish kit! I had ordered a BE sample kit last month from totalbliss.com and really liked the products, so I had been thinking of re-ordering. The kit on QVC looks like a lot of fun.
I have rosacea and have been trying to get away with minimal makeup for years but since I started working in an office again in March, I'm very self conscious of my red face. Makeup usually just starts a vicious cyle of breakouts and irritation but I haven't had that with the BE foundation so far. My first kit included warmth, which seems to be too dark for my complexion. I'm thinking Glee might be a better bet for me. Maybe I'll tune into the QVC show at noon and see what else they are offering. Oooh, this could be dangerous!
Molli526
06-12-2004, 12:15 PM

I use the Medium 2.3 foundation and have a bit of a golden undertone to my complexion, and I'm able to use Warmth, but only as an under-cheekbone contour blush color. You really only need a few powder flecks on that lid to use Warmth. You can't use it like a regular blush or its way too heavy and orange. I think Leslie said it herself the last time I saw her on QVC a few weeks ago, that she's never seen anyone completely use up a full sized Warmth! :D It just goes so far that you basically buy it once and you're done. If anyone is thinking the warmth is just too heavy or too orange for them, try using almost none and see what happens! I don't even shake any into the lid. I dip the very corner (maybe 1/4" of the bristles) a smidge into the warmth powder and then swirl that in the lid, then tap...and a very light handed swoosh under the cheekbones does the trick! :)

Adrianna - please describe to us how we can blend warmth and CR. I would really love to know.
I have never received a video...I guess because I did not order directly from BE. But I did watch the mini-videos on QVC. QVC has not messed up any of my orders yet.
I had bad luck yesterday, but I had a good opportunity out of it....my flight was cancelled, so I had to go to another terminal in the Atlanta Airport. In terminal T they have a BE store! So I bought the eyebrow kit and the little travel case. The warmth I had ordered from the Media Spa Store had a crack in the case, so I will either use the travel case or find something else to put it in. Because it gets everywhere! Also, one can mail order directly from the stores, and you can use like a frequent buyer card where you get 1 point for every $10 you spend. I will have to figure out whether QVC, the website or the stores are the best deal sometime later.
Anyway, thought I would tell you about the store in the airport in case your travel plans take you through Atlanta Airport this summer!:)
Mobear- That is so cool that you got to go to a store! I will have to look to see if any of our vacations will take us near a store!
I got the video from Mediastore as part of the kit that I bought. BTW, did you contact them about the crack in the container? I would because they should replace that...

You are right...sometimes I just try to solve things on my own when I shouldn't. Path of least resistance I guess. That and I have been busy.
There are a bunch of stores...most are in CA, one in Denver, St Louis, Bloomington (MN), King of Prussia (PA), Atlanta (airport and in Lennox Mall) and NYC.
I wish I had had more time to shop. Because of the weather situation, I only had 15 minutes to run into the store and ask them where the two things I wanted were, grab them and go! They did give me some free samples of lotion and bathwash.

What great customer service! I really appreciate their fast shipping :)
Too bad it wasn't mineral veil or something you will use a lot more of.
I am hoping tomorrow my wish kit from QVC comes. Then MORE make-up to play with!

Wow! that is great customer service! When I ordered from QVC the last time, the mistakenly sent me 2 lip palettes, instead of clear radiance and bisque i ordered. Whe I called and asked about it, i was kinda hoping they would say "Don't worry...just keep it an we will send you the correct stuff." But NOPE...I had to schlepp to the post office and return the stuff. I had to pay but supposedly they will reimburse me...so now i gotta look on my credit card statement and see if I got my refund, which I think is a major pain in the butt considering the whole point of ordering from QVC is that you don't have to leave the comfort of your own home to shop.
Leslie said something about mixing clear ardiance and warmth...about putting the size of a pin head of warmth on the lid, then dipping the brush in CR and swirling them together. i tried it and it seems ok, but nothing thrilling. I did order the Wish Kit (I know, I have said that about 20 times already on this thread LOL) and they have "warm radiance" in there which I expect is a lighter version of Warmth! we shall see! thanks for the heads up on the BE store in ATL airport! How cool!

Hey all, received my wish kit last night!
So far I like the eyeshadows and warm radiance. They compliment yellow-undertoned skin well. And I think the lip colors would be good with pink makeups, which are a good contrast for yellow-undertoned skin. I have not tried the mascara yet (because I have also just started trying the daily disposable lenses, and don't want the irritation of mascara to effect my evaluation of them). I like the feel of the baby buki brush, but the other brush is really too big for applying eyeshadows; it should be used for blush or contouring.
I hope you get yours soon!

Mobear, you and I must have similar complexions. I'm glad I caught your post about the bisque looking orange'y. The way they gushed about it on QVC last Saturday, I thought it do everything from cure zits to slenderize my butt, LOL!
Did you ever try the Light shade of foundation? It made me look like a tangerine. The Fairly Light is way better and I'm tempted to try Fair. I love the product but just wish there weren't so much orange in it!
Please let me know how the other colors look on you. I'll check back!
PS - did anyone order the Soho Lounge eye collection?

Pat - even the summer bisque seems to turn orangey! With our coloring, try just using the foundation as a concealer. I need to try to improve upon that. I haven't tried the light yet. I did order the Fair (which is what I think you meant you wanted to try) but I haven't received it yet. I will try to remember to post my opinions. I think fairly light is good for summer time on me (to make me look like I have *some* sun), but I want to try Fair for the wintertime complexion. I did not order Soho...I really have to cut expense at some point! What is in it?
Editing to add: One of the eyeshadow colors in the Wish Kit holds promise for another concealer choice...it is called Well Rested. I will let you know if it can work as a concealer for fair skin. It does not seem to have much of a yellow-tone to it though.

Thanks Mobear! Yes, I meant "Fair" - you must have posted while I was editing. The Soho Lounge was a taupe and slate grey eyeshadow duo and the coolest double-ended brush. I talked myself out of it because I never have much time for eye makeup besides liner and mascara.
Well Rested - now that sounds like a color I need!

Just to add to the BE zaniness...have you guys ever checked out forums.delphiforums.com/bareescentuals I just registered to post over there a few days ago but haven't actually posted. Apparently Leslie Blodgett posts on there occasionally...but it is not only a fan club for BE...a lot of people discuss products they do not like, or other negative stuff about BE. Apparently there is a HUGE problem with QVC shipping out incomplete and incorrect orders!
Maybe you heard a caller on QVC mention the forum...Leslie said something about loving the Delphi gals. That forum is what she was talking about!

Hmmm, for some reason when I click on that link I cannot get to the site! Sorry bout that...I am gonna do some detective work and come back!
edited to say: I edited the previous post and took away the "www" and that seems to have done the trick!

Adrianna,
I don't know whether to thank you or not for that link! ;) :p Dangerous reading. Makes a girl want to buy! Luckily, I have enough make-up to keep me occupied until Leslie comes back to QVC in August. Almost sad that I paid that much attention to her while she was on! :o It is cool though all those links etc. for good prices for shopping as well as the heads-up on what will be shown on QVC.

I got mine, too! heehee, I am so happy! Can I please share my reviews of products I have tried so far? I would love to hear yours, too!
Train Case-AWESOME! I absolutely love it!
Loofah Wash-I didn't expect too much but I really like it! Do I like it enough to order it? Depends on how much it costs, but probably not.
Brushless Mascara-Well, I only used it today...maybe I have to get used to it, but so far I am not that impressed. My lashes were all clumpy, and not very long.
Foundations (medium) -They were not much darker than the light I have already. I wish I would have gotten on the wait list for tan so I could have mixed them (like Lisa Robertson does!) Oh well, live and learn. I will probably be purchasing tan soon
Well Rested Eye Shadow-it is awfully light. I tried it as a concealor like summer bisque but it is too light for me. Maybe I will like it as something to put in the corner of my eyes like they suggested. Or maybe I will mix it with stuff.
Lip Pallette-Don't care for it. I do not like putting my lipstick on with a brush, anyway, but also it is too sheer and I don't think it is moist enough.
Warm Radiance-LOVE IT!!
Good Fortune Glimmer-really just glimmer...does not have too much color to it. No big deal.
Ok, thanks for listening to me ramble on about BE...if anyone out there is still reading this thread! LOL!

Hey Molli-I just noticed (Duh) in your siggy that you are expecting! Congrats! Do you know if it is a boy or girl? Is this your first? How are you feeling? June 25 is right around the corner! Good luck to you!

Adrianna,
This is our first. We didn't find out the sex of the baby. I think it is a boy FWIW :) I am feeling pretty good. Just big :o
My reviews of what I have tried from the train case, which isn't really anything other than the lip glosses.
LOVE the case!
I tried the Lip Pallette. I think I will use these more as a top coat/gloss on a matte lipstick. I did like the way they looked by themselves on though. Nice and light - not too make-uppy.

Question for you guys that have the re-fillable compact:
I'm in Australia on Holiday, and the re-fillable compact is the only BE product I brought along...I have it filled with mineral veil, and it seems to be leaking out, probably because it is too fine...anyone else having the same problem with the compact?

06-19-2004, 05:42 AM
Gail - I have not tried the travel compact yet. Please, I hope it is better than the actual cases the foundation comes in because I travel all the time now as it is and I am tired of having most of the powder pouring out when I open the lids!
Pat - I think the Well-Rested Shadow can be used as concealer. I only did it for one day, and it is not as orangey as bisque. I want to try it again before I really decide. Also, I love the Fair foundation. I tried it last night (because I received it last night). Definitely NOT orangey. I think you might like it. I will mix if with Fairly-Light if for some reason I actually get any color this summer! If you think the Fairly-Light is still a tad orange or too dark for you, you should definitely order the Fair!
adrianna!!
06-19-2004, 05:46 AM
Gail-Hope you are having fun in Australia! I do not have to refillable compact so I am sorry, I cannot offer any advice!
mobear-I agree, the containers are not the greatest for travel! Even for home use, it is awfully messy! I have white formica in my bathroom and it is always a mess from the BE products...but it is worth it for the results!

You guys are awful!!;)
I was in a mall that had an Ulta store, and I wandered in. I was spotted standing by the bare escentuals counter. They gave me a makeover. They told me it made my eyes look bluer (a way to sell me anything). They sold me a bunch of makeup.
I rarely wear makeup! I guess I'll start now.

Hi all – I received an Ulta flyer this weekend and guess what.
For those of you who missed the wish kit special, Ulta is selling the same kit for $60 in stores. (The flyer also contains a coupon and lots of other great deals.) I am pretty excited about this since I talked myself out of the kit when it was on the air (I was painting stripes that day!). Anyhow, this is a good option. I think it was $49 when it was on QVC. How much was shipping? That train kit is too cute.
Oh, and because of my lurking on this thread over the past few months I have now purchased a starter kit on ebay and full sizes of everything from medispa. Thanks, I think… :( ;)

Congratulations (I think...LOL!) You got a good deal cuz with shipping I think it came to $59...but I don't remember exactly (isn't that terrible?) What shade foundation do you use? I need to get "tan" to mix with my "light." I have a little color on my now...even though I wear sunscreen religiously, I have been faux tanning plus I am sure I get some sun even thru the sunscreen! I will be in Orlando next month and I cannot wait to hit the ULTA store there! It is the only ULTA in FL!

Hi Molli! Good to "see" you! How is the baby? Is he letting you sleep through the night yet?
Yes, on QVC they offer "auto shipping" where they send you a new container of the foundation every 2 months. Well, I use the stuff TWICE A DAY (put a little bit on in the morning before the gym, then re apply after my shower) and I do not need a new container every 2 months! I can't imagine who does! This stuff lasts a long time!

Charlie is doing great! :)
He is a good sleeper. He has been sleeping about 7pm - 7am most nights :) Even if he didn't, I'd love him like crazy anyway :p

Just a heads up, BE will be the TSV on December 11th. It is a Goddess Collection, which you can get on Auto Delivery for 3 more shipments. I already got the first thanks to the ladies at the Delphi Forums. I really like the colors. I also got a vat! of Mineral Veil for $30. It is at least 3 times the amount you get in the normal pot.
I must say, my skin is doing really great with BE.

Thanks for letting us know, Molli!
I heard a rumor from a friend that frequents the delphi forum that you will ONLY be able to buy BE products from QVC or the BE stores soon. I do not know how that can be. I still love medi-spastore.com...you can still get 25% off BE products by using the code "BEbare."
For some reason, I am just not crazy about MV. I never use it. So many people love it, though!
Hope Charlie enjoys his first Christmas!

I didn't see that rumor on the forums. I only check in about once a week (or less). Hmm. I love medispa too with the 25% discount. That would be sad.
They are all talking about a new blend one of the addicts made up - Truedy - true, warmth and glee. It will be a new kit for sale in May. I am going to make a batch right now as I hardly use the warmth.
adrianna!!
12-04-2004, 02:21 PM
I will try that too! It just seems weird to me to mix Warmth and Glee. One is so ORANGE and the other so PINK/MAUVE...ya know?
What are you gonna do..equal parts glee and true with a tiny dot of warmth?
Molli526
12-04-2004, 02:35 PM
I mixed roughly equal parts and threw in a little 2.3 medium. It is a nice color!

12-04-2004, 08:39 PM
Truedy is a really nice color. It is still on and it looks nice. I am so happy to have found a way to use up my warmth. I will probably buy the Truedy kit just to have a cute little pot to mix in and get more true and glee :o

12-05-2004, 06:25 AM
I am going to try it on a day I am just hanging around the house. I always forget that I can mix the colors and shades. I do it for my foundation, but that's about it.

Adrianna,
I agree! Plus I always make such a mess over my sink when I'm mixing...am I the only one???
I do have all 3: warmth, true, and glee...so I'm gonna give it a go...
Maybe we should start another BE thread for everyones favorite BE mixes, what do you all think?
~Gail

Go for it, Gail! Or just a new general BE thread...whatever!
Yes, my counter in my bathroom is white formica and it is always a mess!
