I know we have done these kinds of threads before and I love them.

I'm looking for quotes for a scrapbook page about girlfriends. But anything you feel like sharing would be great!

Here are a few friendship related ones:

"A true friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg
even though he knows that you are slightly cracked." -- Bernard Meltzer

The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life. Rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof. -Richard Bach

Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind. -Dr. Suess

And a few that are just funny:

Conan O'Brien: "A study in the Washington Post says that women have better verbal skills than men. I just have one thing to say to the authors of that study: Duh."

Lily Tomlin: "For fast acting relief try slowing down."

Cynthia Heimel: "When in doubt, make a fool of yourself. There is a microscopically thin line between being brilliantly creative and acting like the most gigantic idiot on earth. So, what the hell, leap! "

I'm glad you posted this, Rosie, because I wanted to ask you about your quote (tag line).

Is Bosco Pertwee the Bosco in Robert Campbell's LaLa Land novels?

He actually was an obscure philosopher/wit out of the 18th century quoted by I think Umberto Eco... though I can't in which book. Maybe in Foccaults Pendulum. Or maybe I read it in Richard Feynman's "The Pleasure of Finding Things Out" (which is a really good read, BTW).

And I'm glad you asked this because it turns out I was misspelling his name :o . It's actually Boscoe Pertwee.
