View Full Version : Nigella's Forever Summer
I just bought Nigella Lawson's Forever Summer and I am perusing recipes in anticipation of warmer weather :) . I noticed that she provides oven temperatures in celsius and, according to my conversion chart, they seem a bit high. For example, she bakes spare ribs for over an hour at 200 degree celsium (400F) and chicken pieces at 220C (425F) for 45 minutes. For those who have cooked with this book, can you tell me if those temperatures are reliable?
I would also love to hear about recipes you have tried and enjoyed from this book. They look really good!
TIA! :)

I have the American version of Forever Summer. The spareribs recipe is 400 degrees in my book. The chicken recipes are higher temperatures, too, but the end results are fabulous.
My DH loves the Grilled Eggplant with Feta, Mint and Chilli. My favorites are Caesar Cleopatra, Za'atar Chicken with Fattoush, (This chicken is cooked at 425, but it didn't burn or cook too quickly. I bought garlic flavored pita crisps for the fattoush. YUM! This was also one of the best fattoush salads I've had.)Slow Roasted Garlic and Lemon Chicken, and the Butterflied Chicken with Lemon and Rosemary.
Thanks mbrogier! The recipes you mentionned were on my list of things to try so I am glad to hear they are as good as they look :)
