I tried going to attach a file and selected the picture I wanted to post, but it never showed up!

You need to download the picture to a personal website (like Imagestation or ofoto) first before posting it to the boards.

How do you get a personal website?

Perhaps I worded it wrong.

A website where you can store photos, such as Yahoo (www.yahoo.com), or Imagestation (www.imagestation.com), or ofoto (www.ofoto.com). These are all free websites. You store the picture on your account on any of these sites, and then you can post it on the boards.

Thanks for the advice! I'll try it in just a minute. Any suggestions on how to get an avatar other than the canned ones on the CL BB website? I'm getting tired of mine!

Once again an avatar has to be someplace on the web. As much as the board tells you it can be on your desktop...it lies :D So, you need to find an avatar that is smaller than 50x50 and you are good to go.

If you still need help, search for avatars in titles only and you should have lots of directions.
