I made this for dinner a few nights ago. The salmon had a light citrusy flavor. I wouldn't call it spectacular but it was quick and good tasting. We ended up BBQing it because I didn't want to heat up the house with the 500 degree oven. :o The Garlicky Greens were excellent! Confession: I probably added more garlic than 1 teaspoonful but I'm from the camp that thinks you can never have enough garlic!!:D The rice vinegar and green onions were a great finishing touch to the greens. Will definately make those again. Overall, a very easy and satisfying dinner.

Peggy, I agree with you. I thought the salmon was fine, but nothing special. I really enjoyed the greens, and, like you (again!) I used fresh garlic, and a lot of it. Probably 2-3 freshly minced cloves. I really liked the addition of the chopped green onions on top of everything.
All around, it's probably not a repeater for me, but I enjoyed it well enough. :)

Tee hee! I've noticed that, too, Peggy. Great minds think alike! :)

The salmon really didn't taste any different from any other soy-based marinade. We didn't make the greens, but I'm putting them on the list!

I'll third the comments. The salmon had a light citrus flavor, but nothing exciting. The greens were very good, and I *make* myself eat cooked spinach once or twice a year (I have bad memories of stringy stuff that made me gag as a child).
I think the salmon would be better if you boiled & reduced the marinade into a sauce.

made this tonight (sort of). I baked for only 10 minutes and I still thought it was a little overcooked, but very juicy. The greens were excellent, subbed chard for spinach and upped the garlic of course.
Not a blow them out of the water recipe, but a good solid easy weeknight supper if I ever saw one.
