Make It Ahead?

I have only now been reading about the "make it ahead" supplement. I have pulled up some old threads on that topic but still have questions. This is not a magazine is it? Is it like a brochure type pamphlet on a few dishes?
And how often does it come out for sale.

This was a special magazine that was sold on the newstand and in groceries, etc.

Just the other day I received a very premature CL renewal notice that indicated I'd receive a FREE gift of the CL Make it Ahead issue. I bought it back in Nov or Dec so...they are a little late on the offer.

This was a special issue but I did not know about it until I read about it on this BB. I was lucky to get a copy at a Barnes and Noble just before Christmas. I'm not sure how subscribers were supposed to learn about this. It was a very good resource.

Actually, I found out about it in several issues as an advertisement

i got a copy of it in the mail at the first of February...thought that was strange, esp. since it said "pull" from the shelves Jan. 1st...
