This may seem like a silly question, but I plan to buy a mixer this week. If I buy the one with the 4Qt bowl, will it accomodate bigger KA bowls? Like the 5qt or 6qt.

No answer, but that's a good question! I would like to know too...

I don't think so. I think it just fits one size bowl, but I could be wrong. I'm sure others will check in :)

No, they don't fit. My mom just bought a new bigger one so I get her bowls for the 4qt!

Nope, don't think so.

If you can, I'd suggest going for the 5 or 6-quart - if you bake and make double batches of cookies, for instance, the 5-quart is just barely big enough. Usually the 5-quart is MORE than I need, but during the holidays, it's really nice to have the larger size (I bought mine before the 6-quart came out or might have been tempted by that).

But, it seems to me one of the larger models might have been able to accomodate a smaller bowl?

Thanks for the input.
I just bought the 5qt KA this morning. Tuesday Morning had the KA Professional 5 on sale for $179 and you should have seen the line outside of that place.

I'm so excited, I don't know if I'll break it in tonight or Sunday. I was thinking oatmeal cookies or butter pecan cookies.
