It's a good book. You'll enjoy it!
The one thing I do with my cookbooks is write in them!! I write how much we like the recipe, hints on making the recipe, Who's favorite recipe it is (good for when someone's birthday comes up), how easy the recipe is or how involved, ect! I have so many cookbooks I forget what I have made and what I thought about it.
Plus I think this is a nice idea because when your recipe book gets passed on the history goes with it. Recently I sold a few books at a yardsale with all my hints in it. But I hope to save most of them so that when one day my grandchildren have them they will know what their grandmother made and hopefully start passing down their grandmother's recipes.

Tiger,
What a great suggestion. I do that a LITTLE bit -- but mostly I have always been a little OCD http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif about my cookbooks and cooking magazines ... after several years of hard use they still look UNUSED!!!

I never really thought about future generations enjoying our notes, etc... but I will now!

Thanks again!
Lynn

I'm very neat organized person. But I just don't feel this way about my cookbooks. I just like to make my cookbooks very personal! I don't even mind food stains on my favorite pages!!
I'm glad you and Rachelle are going to start doing this. Once you start you'll never stop!!!!
I mark my recipes to make with post-its and don't remove them until we've eaten the dish and I've written in the book.

well--tiger==that is exactly what i do-also the date i made it--otherwise can never remeber if i made it or not. my problem is i have too many reeipes--i'm goin crazy!! would like to get the new cook books but think i would really get goofy. i try to never make any thing twice, except for VERY special receipes.
