Ossobuco in crockpot??

I'd like to make ossobuco for my DH for Valentine's Day, but since it's a work day, I thought that type of dish might lend itself well to the crock pot. Has anyone tried it out??

I haven't tried it but I did find a recipe for lamb shanks and white beans in my crockpot cook book. I looks yummy. It you'd like me to post so you can adapt, let me know.
