We had these last night with potato soup. They were good, not super wonderful, but good enough to make again.

Our supper club had these last month with the Chipoltle Chicken Stew. We thought the same thing you did - they were good, and really easy to make. Not spectacular, however!
Maybe they'd be better with homemade bread dough - but then they wouldn't be as easy. The trade offs.....

these little treats were good fresh out of the oven but try them the next day..they make good dog food. i guess with those pilsbury products they dont keep fresh tasting like homemade.

I think I just figured out that you are talking about a premade pilsbury product, is that so? Either way, from the last post, I think I'll wait to try these-- I don't have a dog! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Cornmeal Cheese Twists (CL 12/00)
1/4 c. water
4 lg. egg whites
1 c. yellow cornmeal
1 c. (4 oz.) grated Asiago cheese
1 c. (4 oz.) grated fresh Parmesan cheese
1 teas. paprika
Cooking spray
4 (11 0z.) cans refrigerated soft breadsticks (such as Pillsbury)
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2. Combine water & egg whites in a shallow bowl. Combine cornmeal, cheeses, & paprika in a shallow bowl. Coat 2 baking sheets with
cooking spray.
3. Unroll breadstick dough, separating into strips. Roll each piece into a 7-inch-long strip. Dip 2 strips in egg white mixture, &
dredge in cornmeal mixture. Twist strips together, pinching ends to seal; place on baking sheet. Repeat procedure with remaining
dough strips, egg white mixture, and cornmeal mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 min. or until golden brown. Yield: 2 dozen twists (serving size: 1 twist).

We had these for our supper club several weeks ago. I thought they were really good--I couldn't tell that the dough wasn't homemade. I took one home with me and it was still good the next day--not even a crumb left for the dog!
