I've been trying to learn how to cook all different types of food and just realized that I haven't tried pizza yet! Anyone have any good recipes for pizza out there? Thanks! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Thanks! Actually, I just read the tips for new users and discovered the "search" option. Wow, there certainly have been a bunch of great threads on pizza! I'm planning on making my first one tonight (as long as my SO didn't eat pizza for lunch http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif)

I use this dough for pizza:
3 c. bread flour
1 c. water
2 1/4 t. yeast (1 packet)
1 t. sugar
1 t. salt
2 T. olive oil
This is not fancy but it is quick, easy, and good: Spread the dough with any good quality tomato sauce (I'm talking canned here -- nothing fancy!), sprinkle with dried Italian seasoning, and top with a mixture of shredded mozzarella and shredded sharp/extra sharp Cheddar. Bake "as is" or add your favorite toppings. My favorite is sliced onions and sliced green or sweet red pepper. Bake at 425 for -- well, I forget exactly how long. Start watching it around 13 or 14 minutes and take it out when the cheese is bubbly and the crust is lightly browned.
