I just wondered which ice cream you decided to make and which machine you decided to try first, who knows maybe DH has you making ice cream in all of them. I have the cuisinart and it certainly fits the bill although just after DH bought it for me they came out with the two bowler up here in Canada. OH Well!
I have my second batch churning right now of EW strawberry it was so much quicker then the custard recipe I made first and smells heavenly.
Hope it all went well for you.
Terri
Made the EW vanilla with a touch of mint because the boys wanted to add Thin Mints to it -- a variation on cookies and cream. It was okay, but still too soft when we tried it and put the rest in the freezer. Will have to check again later.
I also mixed the Mango Sorbet using a can of Alphonso Mango pulp and 2 fresh mangos just in case that wasn't enough. I didn't need to freeze that! It is heavenly! This is the same type of mangos used in the WS mango margarita mix that they sell for $11 a bottle. The taste of the fresh ones was the best mango I have ever eaten, and I'm so eager to freeze the sorbet. We were going to freeze that tonight, but didn't get to it, so either tomorrow before we go to the TX picnic or on Sunday.
We used the Cuisinart since those bowls were ready and waiting in the freezer. I haven't gotten the new Krups bowl yet, but should very soon. We'll test the Krups soon.
