Well, I learned my lesson yesterday. I put spf 30 on for a day of polo watching and thought I was all set. Last night I was hurting, a lot, so I check the sunscreen bottle and found the expiration date. It was last fall. Oops. Now, I have tomato red arms and legs to pay for my mistake  so I wanted to remind everyone to check those dates. Needless to say, I went and bought all new sunscreen this morning!

Good reminder! Hope your sunburn feels better.

My sunscreen doesn't seem to have an expiration date. Seems a bit of a waste to replace it every year - it probably lasts longer than that - but just to be safe, it would probably be best to do so.

Hope you feel better...

I always check, but it is a great reminder.
The only time i use an "expired" package is if the main block is zinc oxide or titanium dioxide..those can't expire :D

Ouch! I hope you feel better. I saw on TV, last year that you should throw away your sunscreen at the end of every season. But I didn't hear the whole story.... Thanks for the head's up!

Great reminder. I probably wouldn't have even thought to check. DH is out on a fishing trip today...hope the sunscreen I gave him is still good.

Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks for the well wishes everyone, I am still red and in pain but I think this was just a good reminder to use my sunscreen everyday. I haven't burned this bad since I was a child, and don't plan on ever making the mistake again! I have done some reading and a lot of sunscreen is good for 3 years and one thing I want to point out, there really shouldn't be a season for sunscreen, burns can happen during the winter too!
