My 5 year old JUST created a nice big line on the brick surronding the fireplace. Any one know how to remove?

There are two products that might help. One is called Oops! and the other is Googone. I'm not sure if they would work on a porous surface like brick but they do remove all kinds of marks, stains, etc.

GooGone is my first thought, but it is oily. If there is no finish on your brick, it could leave a shadow. What about trying one of those dry cleaning sheets for the dryer first, rubbing it like you would to pretreat clothing? Anyone ever tried that?
