I dropped the glass door to my 25+ yr old convection oven recently.
The glass didn't break, but the handle (which holds the door in place) shattered, making the oven unuseable. I have used this little oven constantly over the years and decided to treat myself to a new (counter top) convection. I don't think the mfgr. even exists any longer (Maxim)- so replacing the handle is unlikely.
But - before I replace it, I wanted to ask for opinions on whether I should consider replacing it with a micro / convection combo. DO they really serve double duty? Can I bake cakes in the combo ovens?
(I definitely want to be able to bake layer or bundt cakes.)
If you have a brand name of either type which pleases you and has the baking capacity, I'd love to hear about it.
Thanks for any advice.

I have a DeLonghi counter-top convection oven (looks like a toaster oven but isn't). It also has a rotisserie (sp) that is a nice perk. I use it way more than I do the convection part of my large oven and way more than my smaller oven. It has a couple of adjustable racks. Not sure if the bundt pan fits though but I'll go check. I do use it for bread and pizza in addition to cookies.

Sneezles - Thanks for your input. The Delonghi may be my answer.
(IF it will hold a bundt pan ).

Vicanddi - Thanks for bumping. I'd really appreciate more replies if anyone has had another brand of convection they like.

Yes, it will hold the bundt pan (sorry, I didn't get back sooner).
