I've been enjoying this new show on Food Network. Haven't made anything yet...;) but it sure looks good!
It reminds me of the section in CL where the readers send in their recipes for a makeover. I like at the end where they compare calories and fat of the recipe to the newer heathier recipe.
Anyone else into this show?

I have seen the Calorie Commando a couple of times and every recipie is in my digital recipe box on the foodtv.com website. Anxious to try the banana cream pie he made over. :)

If you like that show, you should watch Cooking Thin. There's lots of good food tips in that show too. I have her cook book and it's got tons of good veggie side dishes that are unique.

I've watched both shows and prefer cooking thin.
I'll have to give the other guy a few more looks before I decide ...I admit I've only seen two or three of each of the shows.

I like his show. Watched today when he made a meatless lasagne that looked really good! Also have made the zuchnni latkes he made on another show. I need to go and check out his show page on the website.

Lisa- I thought the lasagna looked great too. But I was also thinking my family would never go for it. :( Of course he was making it for something her kids would like. I was thinking does this guy have kids?

You know I've been dying to see this show before they aired it and to tell you the truth I was a little disappointed when I got around to seeing the episodes. The only thing that looked good to me was the air fried pork chops. The banana cream pie was nothing at all what the woman made previously. I thought it was suppost to be exactly the same except less in calories. He tends to add his own flare to his dishes, like the expresso chocolate crust, I'm think ick all that marshmellow fluff... His cheese maccaroni had like 4 different cheeses in it,the fact that I would have to go out and buy fontina and other cheeses turned me off. It would have been an expensive maccaroni and cheese! This is just my opinion folks :)
Then again the whole purpose is to show people that they can take out the fat but not the flavor. I'm all for educating others on how to eat healthier.

I only caught a bit of one show - but it caught my interest, because I want to try the orange chicken lo-mein, and see how I like it.
