I have had lower back pain for years. I have noticed that it can get particularly worse when I sleep, near morning. Sometimes it seems to help when I try to help my back stay stable with a pillow against it or between my knees. I'm wondering if there might be a pillow of some sort out there that could really help this kind of condition....anyone have a similiar experience or recommendation?

Any recommendations or suggestions appreciated.

Thanks!

As someone who suffered with a herniated disc a decade ago (finally remedied with surgery) I sympathize. I used to get some relief too with a pillow between the knees (I'm a side sleeper). Since you know this helps I'm thinking you might benefit from one of those big long body pillows that are frequently marketed to pregnant women. I don't have back pain anymore (nor am I pregnant!) but they still look attractive to me! :)

The neurologist I work with advised me to use a pillow under my head that helped to keep my spine in line, and a pillow between my knees...I now use one of those buckwheat pillows for my head, and a regular pillow between my knees...what a difference !

Hmm ... Here's an interesting looking one I found on Amazon for $50

And another, more normal looking one ( they have these at Target!)

Hope these help!

LOL...Ashley, maybe that first one is a great product but I'm trying to imagine trying to turn over once you're inside that thing! :D
